The Four Agreements

Don Miguel Ruiz is known as a natural, or shaman, of the Toltec tradition. The Toltecs were an ancient group of scientists and artists that was formed to explore and preserve the practices and spiritual knowledge of the ancient ones. It is not a religion, but a way of life that embraces spirit and honors all the spiritual masters who have taught on the earth. Toltec wisdom arises from the same essential unity of truth as other sacred esoteric traditions that are found all over the world. The Four Agreements are very simple, but very profound. To embrace and live each of the Four Agreements is to find yourself experiencing personal freedom--possibly as never before. The following is an overview of the meaning of each of The Four Agreements, based on the writings of don Miguel Ruiz. 1. Be Impeccable with Your Word Speak with integrity.  Say only what you mean.  Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.  Use the power of your word in the direction o

Quntas Day care

I will apologize for my hesitating to respond this is due to legal concerns with a past police action and working around court and contract imposed restrictions in discussing cases where deadly force was used. These incident examples are tense, uncertain, and rapidly evolving. In addition, the responding officers when faced with deadly force may only have seconds to choose a deadly-force option that could affect the rest of their lives. If the officers make a poor decision, they could face administrative discipline/te

S.S. Iron Mountain and the River of Death

Image
S.S. Iron Mountain It's understandable how a ship could be lost in the vast, deep, and volatile oceans, but how could a ship completely disappear without a trace in a river? In June, 1872, the S.S. Iron Mountain steamed out of Vicksburg, Mississippi with an on-deck cargo of bailed cotton and barrels of molasses. Heading up the Mississippi River toward its ultimate destination of Pittsburgh, the ship was also towing a line of barges. Later that day, another steamship, the Iroquois Chief, found the barges floating freely downriver. The towline had been cut. The crew of the Iroquois Chief secured the barges and waited for the Iron Mountain to arrive and recover them. But it never did. The Iron Mountain, nor any member of its crew, were ever seen again. Not one trace of a wreck or any piece of its cargo ever surfaced or floated to shore. It simply vanished.

The 5 Mental Hindrances Causes Ignorance!

Friends: The 5 Mental Hindrances Causes Ignorance! On the vulture’s peak hill, prince Abhaya once asked the Blessed Buddha: Sir, what is the causes of not seeing, not knowing, and not Understanding? The All-Seeing Blessed One responded: At such time, prince, when one remains with a mind possessed and overwhelmed by sensual desire, and one does not know any way to escape this sensual lust, that has arisen - this condition itself, prince, is the cause of not seeing, and of not knowing. Therefore, not seeing, and not knowing have indeed a specific cause, and is indeed conditioned by an essential prerequisite. [Such as desire for sensing] Then again, prince, when one remains with a mind possessed and overwhelmed by ill will, and does neither know any way to escape, nor still this anger, that has arisen, then this exact condition itself is the cause of not seeing, and of not knowing. Therefore, not seeing, and not knowing have indeed a specific cause, and is indeed conditioned by a nece

The Queen Mary One of the most famous of all cruise ships, the   Queen Mary   - now a hotel and tourist attraction - is said to be host to several ghosts . One may be the spirit of John Pedder, a 17-year-old crewman who was crushed to death by a watertight door in 1966 during a routine drill. Unexplained knocking has been heard around this door, and a tour guide reported that she saw a darkly dressed figure as she was leaving the area where Pedder had been killed. She saw his face and recognized that it was Pedder from his photographs. A mysterious woman in white has been sighted near the front desk. Typically, she disappears behind a pillar and does not reappear. Another ghost, dressed in blue-gray overalls and sporting a long beard, has been spotted in the shaft alley of the engine room. Ghostly voices and laughter have been heard by the ship

History of Paganism and Wicca

Wicca is a rapidly growing religious movement, which is a modern day version of ancient religious precepts that far predates both Judaism and Christianity, and whose basic tenets and beliefs go back to the earliest days of humanity. From the time religious thought was first conceived, early humanity was fascinated with the concept of female power, as only women had the ability to reproduce. Before men realized their role in reproduction, ancient societies were largely matriarchal, based on the awe that men held towards women, who were seen as the life-givers of the fledging human race. As a result, early human spirituality revered an all-female conception of Deity, a Goddess, which represented fertility to the nascent human species. Many early paintings, carvings and statues depict this early Mother Goddess, which includes a bloated womb and enlarged breasts, obviously in honor of women's ability to reproduce humanity, and intended for use in fertility rites. Women also had the

Sniffer and Tinny

-------Original Message------- Date:  3/28/2014 8:15:35 PM Subject:  Sniffer, a fox, and Tinny, a Norwegian dog This is so precious - you will love it! Tinni is a Norwegian dog that belongs to photographer Torgeir Berge in the forests of Norway . While exploring the woods together they came across a wild fox that they named Sniffer. Although Sniffer has never been domesticated in any way, Sniffer and Tinny became good friends. Now Berge observes Tinni and Sniffer from a distance, and luckily for us he captures their endearing friendship with his camera. Now Torgeir Berge is working on a book called "The Fox And The Dog" with writer Berit Helberg. This experience has changed Berge's mind about the fox-fur t rade in Norway, and he hopes to one day ban the hunting of foxes for their fur .   Life is not about learning to survive the storm. It's about learning to dance in the rain. I hope you dance!
