Arado Ar. E. 555/1 Overview

Arado E 555-1 Arado Ar. E. 555/1 Overview The Ar.E.555/1 long range bomber concept was part of a design study conducted by Dr. Ing. W. Laute and an Arado design group at the Arado Werks at Landeshut/Schesien. The E.555 study was looking at the advantages of a jet powered planar flying wing. It would combine the wing and body of the airframe together with laminar flow characteristics to provide high cruise speed and long range. As many as 10 (some sources say 11) different variations were studied. These were limited to study only. The RLM decreed on December 28, 1944, all heavy bomber activities be ended. The strain on the aircraft industry to supply enough defensive fighters to stop the around-the-clock bombing of German war assets was given the highest priority. Thus the E.555 series of designs remained as studies only. Arado Ar. E. 555/1 Historical Details As early as 1897, German military thinkers were looking at the United States as a possible adversary. Nazi Germany: The Lippisch P.13a Mach 2.6 range & fuelled by coal

Image
As conventional fuels were in extremely short supply by late 1944, Lippisch proposed that the P.13a be powered by coal. Initially, it was proposed that a wire-mesh basket holding coal be mounted behind a nose air intake, protruding slightly into the airflow and ignited by a gas burner. The last desperate attempts by the Luftwaffe to stop the Allied bomber streams were exemplified by the demand: fighters, fighters, fighters – quick and simple to build, cheap and from easily accessible materials, small dimensions, superior speed compared to enemy escort fighters and firepower. Nearly all aircraft manufacturers and designers in the Third Reich put designs to paper along these lines. Even Dr. Lippisch’s ideas during the last year of the war fit into this concept. Of his numerous variants, the Lippisch 13a was actually given serious consideration. It was the end of the war that prevented further development beyond the un powered DM-1 test glider. After the war, Lippisch, working ...

Ascending in Love

With fascinating awareness and dreams of marvelous accomplishment, we set forth ages ago on a journey to comprehend love in its every form. Knowing the light we held within would always remain, we folded our divine wings and descended the grand stairway to this physical planet. Taking one step at a time, we immersed ourselves into the density of this sphere and like an oncoming fog, the world of form became heavier and more physically real while the light in our heart seemed to dim. Playing in this reality for eons of time, we have been using every game and possibility to deny our true existence. Alternating roles and trying different costumes, we let ourselves experience the many facets of life. Entangling our awareness in the illusions of limitation, we came to believe the duality of negative and positive forces. In a grand paradox, by believing our physical expressions, we had full freedom to express our limitation while forever being free of it all at our core. This physical r...

hidden fine is misrepresented as tax

You know what grinds my gears.. "Stolen from family guy" lol This whole Obamacare thing. Ooh ahh everyone is going to be taken care of. But who pays for it! We do! Weather we are sick or not.  Obamacare was nothing more then a way to tax the American people without calling it "new taxes". That's the new thing in government now. Let's make "obamacare" and then tack on 30 new taxes to it without telling anyone! Which is exactly what they did! A underhanded sneaky new way to pa ss laws and enactments without the general populace having any clue what's really going on. Make them believe we are just looking out for them for "there own good". It's all underhanded political bs. What pisses me of most is 90% of the people out there are to stupid to check the facts! And fall for this crap hook line and sinker. Which is why I am extremely suspicious of this whole "terrorist watch list". There are no certain laws or anything that ...

Conclusion Simulating a Global Brain: using networks of international organizations, world problems, strategies, and values (Part #6)

The merit of the Encyclopedia initiative described lies in its effort to provide a framework to hold the variety of extant perspectives at a global level and to provide means for exploring their relationships. Its future value will lie in its ability to render this complexity comprehensible in useful ways to those refreshing the information. In some measure it may be understand as simulating the global brain constituted by the vast network of international organizations responding to the preoccupations of different segments of humanity -- perhaps like the 'lobes' and 'sites' of a global brain. Much remains to be done to highlight the major pathways through such a global brain in terms of its integrative globality. This may be based on the existence of major 'pathways' formed by elements of different feedback loops. Such pathways can be envisaged as being like rivers from which local loops break off (as whorls). A number of such pathways may intersect. It wo...

Concerns Simulating a Global Brain: using networks of international organizations, world problems, strategies, and values (Part #5)

Cultural assumptions:  There is an extensive literature indicating the particularity of western cultural styles of thought (Posey, 1999). Because of its apparent dominance in science and the media, it is easy to neglect the existence of other styles of thought -- which may also in fact be operational as sub-cultures within western societies. This literature touches on assumptions about the nature of intelligence and the possibily of quite different kinds of intelligence (see  summary  of some contrasting systems). For example, Magoroh Maruyama (1980) distinguishes 4 contrasting mindscapes each of which might suggest a different kind of global brain: H-mindscape  (homogenistic, hierarchical, classificational): Parts are subordinated to the whole, with subcategories neatly grouped into supercategories. The strongest, or the majority, dominate at the expense of the weak values, policies, problems, priorities, etc). Logic is deductive and axiomatic demanding seque...
