The “ Big Bang” theory is the prevailing cosmological model that explains the creation of the Universe. According to the Big Bang theory, the Universe was once in an extremely hot and dense state which expanded rapidly. This rapid expansion caused the young Universe to cool and resulted in its present continuously expanding state. According to the most recent measurements and observations, this original state existed approximately 13.7 billion years ago, which is considered the age of the Universe and the time the Big Bang occurred. After its initial expansion from a singularity, the Universe cooled sufficiently to allow energy to be converted into various subatomic particles and the material universe was formed. 10/03/2014 12:00 PM EDT The four images that make up this montage of comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko were taken on Sept. 26, 2014 by the European Space Agency’s Rosetta spacecraft. At the time, Rosetta was about 16 miles (26 kilometers), from the center of the comet. In the montage, a region of jet activity can be seen at the neck of the comet. These jets, originating from several discrete locations, are a product of ices sublimating and gases escaping from inside the nucleus.   The overlapping and slightly dissimilar angles of the four images that compose the montage are a result of the combined effect of the comet rotating between the first and last images taken in the sequence (about 10 degrees over 20 minutes), and the spacecraft movement during that same time. Launched in March 2004, Rosetta was reactivated in January 2014 after a record 957 days in hibernation. I was shopping in Walmart one afternoon.. I noticed a very elderly lady that I felt was taking note of me, she stayed close to where I was for about 20 minutes and about the time I had decided to ask her if I could help her with anything she wandered off. I did my normal see if I could find anything I didn't know I needed before I found it thing and I stopped on a aisle, there was a lady with a very young child in the basket close to where I stopped, the little girl told her  mom ' look at the lady's pictures, she has all the colors, like a coloring book'. I thought it was so cute and when I smiled at her smiling at me , the look on her mom's face was unreal! Mom proceeds to tell the little girl those are marks of people who have nothing to themselves, no faith, so they destroy themselves.. .. I smiled and said children should get to see beauty in whatever they are able to see it in while they can and I turned around, tearing up, to see the little elderly lady stand

Our friends seem to be genetically more similar to us than strangers, according to a new U.S. scientific study led by prominent Greek-American professor of sociology and medicine at Yale University Nicholas Christakis and James Fowler, professor of medical genetics and political science at the University of California The researchers, who made the relevant publication in the Journal of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), analyzed the genome of 1,932 people and compared pairs of friends with pairs of strangers. There was no biological affinity among all these people, but only the difference in the level of social relations between them. The study showed that, on average, every person had a more similar DNA with his friends than with strangers. The researchers noted that this finding has to do with the tendency of people to make friends with similar racial (and hence genetic) background .
