The Associated Press Government News ... Federal review debunks Georgia election hack accusation By The Associated Press June 26, 2017 4:37 pm

ATLANTA (AP) — Allegations that the federal government tried to hack Georgia’s election systems were unfounded, according to a letter the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general sent Monday to Congress. The conclusion comes more than six months after Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp accused the department of attempting to “breach our firewall” a week after the November presidential election. The letter said investigators with the inspector general’s Digital Forensics and Analysis Unit reviewed computer data from the federal agency, Kemp’s office and also interviewed a contractor. They also recreated the contractor’s actions. The data, Roth wrote, confirmed the contractor’s statements that on Nov. 15 he used a public database on Kemp’s website to verify security guards’ weapons certification licensing, which he then copied into a spreadsheet. “Based on this work, we did not substantiate the allegations that DHS attempted to scan or infiltrate the Geo

WOMEN ABSORB AND RETAIN DNA FROM EVERY MAN THEY HAVE SEX WITH, STUDY SHOWS

Women retain and carry living DNA from every man with whom they have sexual intercourse, according to a new study by the University of Seattle and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The  study , which discovered the startling information by accident, was originally trying to determine if women who have been pregnant with a son might be more predisposed to certain neurological diseases that occur more frequently in males. But as the scientists picked apart the female brain, the study began to veer wildly off course. As it turns out, the female brain is even more mysterious than we previously thought. The study found that female brains often harbor  “ male microchimerism” , or in other words, the presence of male DNA that originated from another individual, and are genetically distinct from the cells that make up the rest of the woman. According to the study:  “ 63% of the females (37 of 59) tested harbored male microchimerism in the brain. Male microchimerism was pres

Hollywood vrs the reality of war

Gwyneth Paltrow the liberal Hollywood Actress and movie star is under fire for comparing negative tweets to fighting in a war, and compared celebrities to war veterans. Well a real veteran had a few words to say to her. Meet Green Beret and Purple Heart recipient Bryan Sikes. His response to this was BRUTAL. Take a look: (Via Clash Daily) To Miss Paltrow, I’d first like to start out by saying how terrible I feel for you and all your friends that on a daily basis have to endure mean words written by people you don’t know. I can only imagine the difficulty of waking up in a 12,000 square foot Hollywood home and having your assistant retrieve your iPhone, only to see that the battery is low and someone on twitter (the social media concept that you and all of your friends contribute to on an hourly basis to feed your ego and narcissistic ways), has written a mean word or 2 about you. You’ve hit the nail on the head, war is exactly like that. You should receive a medal for the bu

First contact with the stream on Sept. 14th produced a moderately strong (G2-class) geomagnetic storm, ongoing at the time of this alert. If the storm continues, high-latitude sky watchers could see auroras after local nightfall on Sept. 14/15. Visit  Spaceweather.com  for more information and updates. Which parts of Rogue One could be seen as political propaganda? I felt the movie was deeply anti-American, equating the US with the Empire, Jadha with Afghanistan, and Gererra as Osama bin Laden.

It wasn’t quite as obvious as Avatar, but I feel this film addressed the 800 pound Gorilla: Our military is everywhere, our tech is vastly superior to our “enemies,” We have a way of life to impress upon others, and in not-so-subtle ways, the reality of war crimes was touched upon. We will do what it takes to spread the American Way. Face it. We are the Empire. We sit here at home, snug with our screens and our foolish political theatre and the semblance of normalcy. In other countries, on entire continents, our military is there. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are dead. How did they end up that way? What of the soldiers who report that the ROE (Rules of Engagement) have been laxed, that anyone who seems suspicious should be treated like a threat. I’ve read of women bringing troops bread and getting killed for coming up on them with a package. I’m gonna get trolled, possibly banned, for saying these things. But you know what? In the back of our troops’ minds, there’s a little G

Hurricane Harvey Before and After: Satellite Images Show Storm's Destruction

It was the first major hurricane to make landfall in the U.S. since Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Harvey was also the first hurricane to hit the Texas coast since Hurricane Ike in 2008. After making landfall, Harvey weakened into a tropical storm, but stalled over the Texas coast, dumping huge amounts of rain over Houston and the surrounding area. In fact, scientists say flooding from Harvey was unprecedented, at levels expected to be seen just once every 500,000 years, in some areas of Southeast Texas. Here are some before-and-after satellite images of Texas that show the devastation caused by Harvey. In this image, the Arkema plant in Crosby, Texas, is seen on Jan. 29, 2017.
