The furry Fandom

  is a Melting Pot that Seems to attract Many People for Different Reasons. what makes the fandom unique and able to attract broad range of people with different but similar interests is that fact the fandom revolves around not single person, theme, or tv show. But an idea. that is why when people ask what is a furry ?its hard to explain and give a straight definition exactly what a furry is. but one thing that everyone in the fandom can agree on is that a furry is someone who enjoy/likes/or takes a definite interest in anthropomorphic animals.

But the Problem or Blessing is that “Anthropomorphic Animals” applies to a huge spectrum of topics. examples: My little Ponies, applies as anthropomorphic animals,most drawn kids shows are anthropomorphic. Disney has been well known for anthropomorphic animals in Movies,Shows, Characters. History and Religions have had anthropomorphic Deity's and Anthropomorphic descriptions,myth,and folklore like in Egyptian,Roman,Greek Beliefs. Christianity and the Bible have had described Jesus In anthropomorphic fashion. Since the beginning of time Man have used there imaginations to create “anthropomorphic animals” Throughout history it is an Idea that is not new.

SOoo back to your question “Why are there “furries?’’ Well its easy; its cause the Furry Fandom Can Appeal to just about anyone and anyone can identify as a furry. Its not a fandom set in stone that is the magic of the furry fandom its flexible to your interests. Like to draw animals? congrats people are Linning up within the furry fandom for a commision. Happen To enjoy Cos-playing with an Animistic touch. then perhaps making a fur-suit for others or yourself is for you. Love Writing Novels or stories that happen to have a anthro hero similar to the redwall series? you can do it. Happen to have a love for an old Tv show as a kid like Gargoyles? We have that within this fandom you definitely can find people with a same interest.Just a Fan of art? Well i Cant think of anymore Creative and Expressive artists then those in the furry fandom. Love Making music? Furries love to dance and party/ there a Dj position just opened up some convention near you. Just watched the new zootopia movie and fell in love? congratulations welcome to the fandom ^.^
