Captured this set of photos off the Mt Wilson webcam this Monday

(August 25).  Any ideas what it is?  Timing could be the same as the

moon, but the moon is only 5% visible crescent right now.  The page

takes a while to load, so be patient.

Hurricane Ignacio in Gulf of California. The current storm track

shows the tropical system moving towards the West Coast of the

United States. This is a development worth keeping an eye on. The

hurricane is expected to become a tropical depression before it ever

reaches the United States. The storm is currently feeding moisture

into the southwestern areas on the US. Areas of Arizona could see

flooding and flash flooding conditions due to the moisture levels

associated with this storm.

This activity is coming on the heels of some extremely powerful

solar electrical discharge activity that has been interacting with

Earth for the last several days.

Storm damage tops $4m

By Louise Perry, Chris Jenkins and Carol Altmann

August 26, 2003

BUSINESS was badly affected by the storm that tore through the

nation's eastern seaboard at the weekend, killing a man in Sydney.

Winds up to 120km/h, caused more than $4 million in damage and left

more than 38,000 people without phone, internet and in some cases

mobile phone services, affecting businesses in NSW and Victoria.

Telstra said 8000 customers in NSW and 4700 customers in Victoria

had been left without phone, fax and internet services after lines

were brought down by wind or falling trees.

Optus said at least 10,000 of its customers had lost services across

NSW and Victoria.

Even the State Emergency Service in NSW was left without phone

services in some regions and had to redirect calls to its main

centre at Wollongong, south of Sydney.

Storm tears into Chinese provincial capital

Aug. 25, 2003, 11:53AM

Associated Press

BEIJING -- A typhoon roared into China today, flooding a provincial

capital with knee-deep water and causing "a lot of injuries and

damage," the government said. Hours earlier, the storm injured at

least five people in Hong Kong.

The extent of the devastation was not immediately clear. The

official Xinhua News Agency said it had received no reports of

casualties as of tonight.

Typhoon Krovanh hit China's tropical island province of Hainan with

howling winds and heavy rains, cutting electricity in parts of its

capital, Haikou, Xinhua said.

The typhoon, named after a Cambodian tree, landed at 4 a.m., Xinhua

said, citing Hainan's meteorological station.

Climate change: liability looms for directors

Tuesday, 26 August 2003, 8:50 am

Press Release: Phillip Fox

Climate change: liability looms for directors and professionals

Professionals and company directors should beware the risks of

climate change, an environmental lawyer warns. These risks include

increases in average temperature, sea level rise, and increased

frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, as well as

changing regulatory, social and economic expectations.

Phillips Fox climate change partner, Helen Atkins, comments "While

the implications of climate change are much talked about, to date

few business people have integrated this information into their day

to day decision making. The risk for company directors and

professionals is that they will become liable for losses suffered as

a result."

http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/BU0308/S00222.htm

While many sources and many individuals (like the disinfo crew) in

the United States and elsewhere continue to downplay the Earth

Changes and the effects of things like "abnormal weather, some like

the Japanese are openly examining the issue and bringing it to the

attention of their general population. If only the mainstream US

media was this intelligent and forthcoming.

Sherwood

EDITORIAL:Abnormal weather

We must be more attentive to the warning signs.

In terms of weather, this has been one weird summer. The seasonal

rain front squatted over Japan and spent the summer there. This is

the coolest summer in a decade.

Weather elsewhere has been strange, too. Europe was gripped by a

heat wave. France has temperatures averaging 10 degrees above

normal. Some have warned the death toll from the heat could go over

10,000. The United States has been hit by many tornadoes. India has

been seared by abnormally high temperatures, and China has had both

floods and drought.

Weather patterns that are widely aberrant from the yearly norm, from

abnormal heat waves or cold spells to heavy rains or drought, occur

somewhere around the globe every year.

The problem is, as the World Meteorological Organization has pointed

out, that such weather anomalies have become more frequent in recent

years.

just an ice crystal :) ?

Not sure if that is a comet or not. However, if you go to Soho's

movies, you will see a comet or something coming from the 5 o'clock

position.

Tonight on NASA TV, a group of NASA astronomers and engineers will

host

a

live 4-hour broadcast about Earth's ongoing close encounter with

Mars.

The purpose of the program is to help sky watchers find Mars in the

night

sky, and if they happen to have a telescope, to understand what they

see

in the eyepiece when they point their 'scope at the red planet.

Guests will include Jack Horkheimer of PBS's StarGazer program, David

Levy, the science editor of Parade magazine and co-discoverer of

Comet

Shoemaker-Levy 9, Skylab astronaut Owen Garriott, and NASA's Chief

Scientist for Mars Exploration Jim Garvin.

The show begins at 8:00 p.m. CDT (9:00 p.m. EDT or 6:00 p.m. PDT) on

Tuesday, August 26th. That's 0100 UT on August 27th.

NASA TV is broadcast from the geosynchronous satellite AMC-9 located

at

85

degrees west longitude. Tune to transponder 9C at 3880.0 MHz.

Polarization

is vertical and audio is monaural at 6.8 MHz. Fortunately, many

cable

and

satellite TV providers carry the channel, so you don't need to worry

about

such details. Flip through your channels today and see if you can

find

NASA TV--or call your provider for more information. NASA TV is also

broadcast live on the web:

EYE-CATCHING MARS: On Tuesday night (Aug. 26th) and Wednesday

morning (Aug. 27th), Earth and Mars are going to have a historic

close encounter--the closest in almost 60,000 years. Go outside

around midnight, look south and up. Mars will be the brightest

object in the sky. The view through a telescope should be pleasing.

This picture, for instance, was taken by Don Parker on August 24th

using his 16-inch 'scope. The oval feature near the middle is known

as the "Eye of Mars."

AURORA SEASON: In less than one month Northern autumn will begin--

and that means aurora season is beginning, too. Geomagnetic storms

tend to be most intense during the weeks around the September

equinox because the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) near Earth

tips farther south than usual. South-pointing IMFs encourage

auroras. Already in August, sky watchers from Alaska to Arizona have

been enjoying colorful Northern Lights

At what point will the public stop believing anything the

establishment floats to explain what they have been observing for

months. Having started with a lie, and continued with a lie, it

becomes ever more difficult to confess and explain. Thus, the

preferred method is to continue lying, and hope for the best.

Factors balancing toward the continued lie are:

Planet X may simply pass by without causing a pole shift, thus no

need to explain, ever. In fact, as the retrograde orbit of Planet X

seems to be moving it outside of the spot between the Earth and Sun

where havoc would presumably occur, this has increasingly been the

argument used by those who would continue the lie.

If a pole shift happens, then survivors would have so much to deal

with that they would not remember being lied to, but would rather be

thrilled to find establishment survival so they could slip into the

familiar mode of being workers for the new kings. This presumes a

comfortable survival of the elite, so that the possession of things

would replace the possession of worthless money, and the familiar

cycles could start again. Anyone remembering the circumstances and

questioning prior lies would be promptly killed, history rewritten,

and thus in future it would all appear so very easy to live with,

for the present liars.

Any confession would involve explaining so many lies that the public

is likely to have zero respect, and distrust any statement by the

establishment. Thus, there is great reluctance to even start the

process of being honest.

Factors balancing toward confessing and coming true with the public

are:

There may be a prolonged time when it is obvious to the public that

something is wrong, and whether it is called Planet X or an asteroid

swarm or an errant Mars matters little. Something must be said or

the public will feel, rightfully so, that leadership is utterly

lacking and turn away from establishment leadership, at which point

the establishment has the problem they feared in the first place.

The longer they wait, the more difficult to explain the delay, and

the more suspicion engendered. What explanation would be floated to

explain a delay? They didn't know? They weren't sure what it was?

They wanted to ensure everyone's safety before they announced?

Nothing they can say will excuse a delay, so the sooner the better.

Any arm of the establishment, whether regulatory agencies, military

units, media and communications, or the all important collection of

taxes in some form to support the establishment, requires the

cooperation of the masses supposedly serviced by the establishment.

A disillusioned populace will not be a cooperative populace, before

or after the pole shift.

Has this point of no return been reached? Long past, thought the

establishment is still talking about it as though it were an option,

a future issue, and the public like sheep unaware and waiting to be

herded in whatever direction the arrogant establishment chooses for

them. They assume a level of awareness in the general public to be

less than a dog or crow or wild boar would have, to be brain dead

and not thinking at all outside of the canned explanations in the

news and entertainment arranged for them on TV. They presume no

ability in the common man to sense danger, to sense an utter lack of

attention in the news or by the government to what they sense is of

immense importance, and thus they already have been informed of the

cover-up by this step alone! The Sun extremely bright, red dust

drifting down, the weather erratic without end, a trembling earth

and devastated economy worldwide with no plan whatsoever beyond the

obvious plan of giving no attention to these geological issues

whatsoever. This says, loud and clear, that:

the establishment knows, and is deliberately choosing not to talk

about it

the establishment is not talking about it because the taxpayer and

average citizen is not included in any plans for safety or care.

since the establishment knows, they are presumably arranging to take

care of themselves

the lack of concern for economic problems but extreme emphasis on

invading and controlling oil producing nations shows this

establishment plan to be international, a broad reach plan

if the establishment is trashing the existing infrastructure,

allowing bankruptcy and unemployment to continue unabated, they

expect what is coming to be even more devastating

if it is going to be that severe, and no warning is being given to

the common man, then the establishment is no better than a common

murderer, and should be treated accordingly.

Thus, if the establishment fears the common man will no longer deems

them to be the leadership, they need worry no longer. This point has

been reached. It hardly need be said that after the pole shift, when

the current establishment straggles forth and expects to be greeted

warmly, that they will get an entirely different response. They may

as well all board a shuttle and attempt to head for Mars, as life on

this Earth for them in the future will be no better. Doomed in

either case.

Subject: Signs of the Times

Signs of the Times are not confirmed or validated. These are

included in What's New as gossip items reported to Nancy. They are

not ZetaTalk, nor NancyTalk unless comments in brackets. If proven

erroneous, a note is placed in the Sign accordingly.

Signs of the Times #225 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)

I live on an island not far off the equator. In the last few days

the sun has gotten way brighter and the heat that is felt on the

skin is also hotter. Those of us who have lived on islands like this

know about the heat of the sun more than those of you who are on the

large land bases. Today [Aug 25] while observing the sun at noon as

I do everyday as I eat my lunch, I noticed a large object, circle

like to the lower left of the sun. Did anyone else see this sort of

a thing?

Signs of the Times #224 (via email to Nancy)

Today, [Aug 25], nationawide, the USPS began placing Homeland

Security `Get Ready Now' brochures in their lobbies. Among the four

steps of safety/survival in the text for #2 is the following: 'if

you see large amounts of debris in the air,... you may want to

shelter-in-place'. Sounds like Planet X tail-matter, to me. Please

notethat these brochures were created just for post office lobbies -

in `partnership with the Salvation Army and CitizenCorps' I wonder

how long they've been printed, and waiting for distribution? My

station received ours today.

Signs of the Times #223 (via email to Nancy)

Penn State University [Aug 25] discusses planetary shift of the

Earth's axis and Earth-like planets with potential outcome.

http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2003-08/ps-ptn082503.php `In

B science fiction movies, a terrible force often pushes the Earth

off its axis and spells disaster for all life on Earth. In reality,

life would still be possible on Earth and any Earth-like planets if

the axis tilt were greater than it is now, according to Penn State

researchers.' [Note: check the new analysis of Planet X Position

over last two weeks, apparently Earth or Planet X orbit changed

direction.]

Signs of the Times #222 (via email to Nancy)

Today [Aug 25] in Scotland at about 2:00PM I looked at the sun and

I'im sure Icould see the winged globe! Both sides of the sun two

rays extended into the sky and branched off to make the appearance

of wings and at the top and bottom of the sun two thick rays

extended into the sky. Tonight the horizons were a deeper shade of

red which shocked me to see how much progress it has made in such a

short time. I have also noticed the moon's erratic patterns some

nights the moon would take ages to go over the sky, sometimes it

would be larger in the sky somtimes it would be small

Does a lens fare go behind the trees while setting?

http://www.zetatalk.com/teams/rogue/nancy475.htm [and from another

poster] I am not an expert. I did zoom the pic up to 500%, and the

tree line certianly does appear to be in front of the anomolie. [and

from another poster] I enlarged the pic and how come I can´t see the

trees through it [ie not a lens flare as flares are transparent]?

Good pic to me. Not lens flare. But then I have only been taking

pics for 40 years. [and from another poster] I am not an expert. I

did zoom the pic up to 500%, and the tree line certianly does appear

to be in front of the anomolie.

Signs of the Times #220 (via email to Nancy)

On Saturday [Aug 23] there was a huge powercut in Helsinki, Finland.

The most of southern Finland was darkened for 15 to 40 minutes at

08:22 PM. All the trains and underground stopped. The reason of

powercut is unknown, but they suspect it's because of this wire

touched the ground in the center of Helsinki. Yeah, right, three big

power plants went down because of that one wire. [Note: Finland,

like the St. Lawrence Seaway, is in the stretch zone.]

Signs of the Times #219 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)

If the rotation was screwed up would it effect the stationary

satalites? I´m in the north east and I point SW towards TX. The

satalite is over the equater south of TX right? I just had it

installed a couple of months ago and the signal deteriated this week

and I had to go out this morning [Aug 25] and realign the dish. [and

from another poster] My signal has been getting screwy for a few

days now and today I had to reset everything. [and from another

poster] Don´t have a satellite dish, but my atomic clock can´t find

a signal. It just keeps trying to set, then a blank line, then it

tries again, over and over all day. [Note: land between the

NorthEast US and Texas is in the stretch zone, and is moving.]

Signs of the Times #218

Insurers droped 2.5 million households in US in past 24 months

http://money.cnn.com/2003/08/21/pf/yourhome/homeownerscrisis/index.ht

m 'Insurers continue to raise premiums, drop customers. ... And in

some parts of the country, homeowners have been hit with higher

rates and "non-renewals" for no reason other than location. ... A

study by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America found

that 51 million homeowners are paying higher premiums than they did

two years ago. ... Insurance companies don't deny that they're

raising prices and choosing their customers more carefully than they

used to. ... According to Don Griffin of the National Association of

Independent Insurers, which is the largest trade association for the

property and casualty insurance industry, insurers have been paying

out more in claims than they've collected in premiums.'

Signs of the Times #217 (via email to Nancy)

I went to the Naval Astronomical Application Department, and

according to them at 4:50AM on 8/23/03 [Aug 23] the moon should be

76.7 degrees east of north. Well my compass shows the moon to be 50

degrees east of north. The moon is far to north for this time of

year. My house faces exactly east, I live in Florida . [and from

another email] The community here (near Tacoma, WA) has finally

noticed anomalies with the moon's position and are asking if the

earth's axis is changing!
