Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day 4 Raven The fact that the road was abandoned and there was never another person on it was one of the reasons she loved to walk down it on the way home. It was just her and the calm seclusion of nature that had over taken a few dilapidated houses. The only building still in semi decent condition was the old temple, either built from more sturdy of materials or maybe some monks still visited and attended to it rarely. Normally this time of year was quite beautiful, but September had just sort of lingered on and even though October was at it’s end it was warm wet and mostly green still. The wet was the part that annoyed the dark haired girl mostly, the weather reports had said nothing of the sudden down pour and she had ducked into the entry way of the old temple to see if the storm would pass. People had always said the temple was cursed and that nobody should ever go near it, especially on Halloween, but people worried about strange thin

Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day3 Pumpkinhead As she walked through the pumpkin patch she couldn’t help but feel at unease, there was a ominous sense of foreboding that pervaded the area despite the bright sunny day. Maybe it was the fact that the nearest farm was many miles away and that she had just stumbled on the seemingly abandoned patch while walking down a different road than usual on a brisk fall walk. Maybe it was the fact she felt drawn to it, like she couldn’t turn away if she tried. Maybe it was the green vines wrapped around her ankle and snaking their way up her overalls. The strange immobilizing fog lifted and she became aware of the plants encroaching on her, she tried to pull them away but ended up tripping herself and falling face first into a pumpkin. The flesh of the gourd was softer than she had imagined and the sudden whack of pain from face planting the vegetable never happened. Instead she felt the soft slimy mush of pumpkin guts on her face and th

Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day 2 Rat Everyone knew the legend of the bridge street tunnel and the tales of all the missing people. In truth, there had been a large amount of disappearances over the years, especially on or around Halloween, but that didn’t stop the youths of the town from fooling around and staying out late come the end of October. This Halloween found a group of youths hanging out by the river, only a short walk from the infamous tunnel. Even from where the kids sat they could see the dark opening of the tunnel, it was partially obscured by overgrown bushes but it black interior looked ominous and intriguing at the same time. Nobody seemed to know exactly where the tunnel went, rumors said nobody had ever made it to the other side and came back, Ashley didn’t believe in such tales though. Ashley was a tall and lean blonde with a generous pair of breasts, she was well liked and known for a streak of fierceness, nothing frightened Ashley, and no dare wa

Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day 6 Dryad

Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day 6 Dryad Amber gave a tired smile at the brightly colored fall leaves, autumn was her favorite season and the forest just felt… special come the end of October. The blond girl hefted the ax on her shoulder and adjusted her flannel shirt, She had been working hard chopping wood for the  winter all morning and was about ready to take a break. She sat down on a nearby stump to catch her breath, thinking about the old logging trail she was on. It was strange that it had been abandoned like it had, there were still a lot of great trees here. She decided to fell one more of the towering trees before leaving for the day on her four wheeler with her wagon of chopped wood. She grunted as she stood up and grabbed the handle of her tool. She walked for a moment before a tree caught her eye, there was something magnetic about it and with an almost mechanical force she approached it and swung her axe at the base. *Thud* The axe sunk deep into the tree a

Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day 1 Medusa Gail walked into her bathroom and sat down the package of hair dye on the counter. She gave herself a final inspection, her red hair complimented her pale skin and freckles well, but she wanted a different look, something… unique for Halloween. She picked up the package and looked at the model, some young person with her hair done up in a bun that made the bright green color almost look like a coiled snake, but what did she expect from emerald boa green hair dye. She chuckled derisively at the dye, feeling just a moment of hesitation at using some hair product she bought at one of those Halloween specialty stores that seem to pop up this time of year.  Setting aside her concerns she reread the directions for a third time and began to apply the dye to her hair. It was a pain staking process to make sure she didn’t get the toxic green dye all over the place, but she was pretty sure she had done a decent job at evenly applying it, a

the best professions for adults with ADHD

Image
The best profession for a person with ADHD is the one that aligns with his specific traits and talents. Since ADHD is different for each person, knowing your ADHD is the key to a successful career. Each person has his own unique abilities and gifts. When you line those up with your ADHD traits; your mind, body, and soul are in perfect harmony. Often, people don’t know what how their ADHD affects them and what their innate talents are. The secret to uncovering that mystery is to ask yourself what you loved doing as a child. I’ve had four main careers in my life and many off-shoot jobs from those four. I have memories of (all of ) them sparking joy in me when I was a child. After barely graduating high school (thanks to my undiagnosed ADHD), I tried to further my education, but I kept hitting dead ends. Nothing was working for me. I wanted to venture into the fashion world, but I kept failing the courses I took. So I figured office skills would guarantee job security and

'Hat Man' Harbinger Posted: 01 Oct 2018 11:25 AM PDT Nedra wrote to tell of a strange sighting she had in 2003: “Early October, 2003, we were on a quest, painting the entire inside of our home. We went to bed exhausted every night of the week. One night I woke up with a jolt. To my right, there were three shadow 'hat men' standing against the wall, side by side. The room was dark but the shadow men were darker. I couldn't see any details. They were made of a thick substance. They were not flat shadows on the wall. I couldn't move my body but I could move my eyes. They were all different heights, with the tallest in the middle, at maybe 7 feet tall. Their hats looked like slightly mashed top hats. Dread overwhelmed me. It was encompassing. It felt like the room was full of evil. As this dread filled my body, I instantly started to pray. I asked God to cover our bed with a dome of white light and I thanked him for protecting us. I'm not sur
