At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen: CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS 1.   First of all, furries are not necessarily, or even commonly, zoophiles. Zoophilia is a sexual attraction to animals. A furry is not an animal.   Secondly, there is nothing legally or morally wrong with any kind of attraction. Period. You can be attracted to anything and everything and there is nothing legally or morally wrong with it. Thoughts and attractions can’t be morally wrong and attempt to legislate thoughts and attractions fall flat every time. Even sexual attraction to children (pedophilia) is not legally or morally wrong.† Zoophilia is not legally or morally wrong either.   Finally, the things that are morally and legally wrong are actions. If someone were to actually act on their attraction in a way that was not legal or moral, that is what would be wrong.     Analyzing Bestiality                                    by Sarah Wheeler        Morality is something one cannot take for granted.   We grow up in a culture with certain mass assumptions, certain given taboos, and we accept them.  But when one begins to question, when one learns that a certain taboo (such as homosexuality) is in fact a sound practice, it becomes necessary to examine more and more assumptions until you may evaluate a practice on it’s own grounds, and not the grounds that society has assigned to it.        Bestiality is the practice of having sex with a non-human animal - most commonly, horses and dogs.   It is assumed that this practice is animal abuse, that it is an issue of power much like rape or pedophilia, and that the humans who engage in it are psychologically unsound.  This I have questioned.       Of course, when considering the ethicality if any action, one must outline what would qualify or disqualify an act.  Bestiality would most certainly be immoral sh

  Being furry is arbitrary, and so your demands for answers are even more arbitrary. “Why are there furries?” is as arbitrary as “Why do people eat asparagus?” Let’s assume that you’re asking this question from an informed position so that you know that Furries generally have an interest anthropomorphic animals  by definition . Notice there is no sex in the definition. Really, the problem is not that there isn’t any explanation. It’s that  there are lots of explanations , and they aren’t related. When it comes to discussions about the prevalence of zoophilia among furries I've seen this number being peddled by some people on this sub and others, and I think it's time to address it since, despite some zoophiles and anti-furries' insistence on clinging to it, it's something one can easily debunk with minimal research and an ounce of critical thinking. Where does it come from? This statistic is originally from a paper by Hsu and Bailey published in 2019 1  , in which they proposed the concept of  "autoanthropomorphozoophillia"  (try saying that 10 times fast).
