Unknown Activity in Mingo County, WV Posted: 14 Sep 2016 11:18 AM PDT I recently received the following account: I moved to Mingo County, West Virginia 3 months ago. I will say that I don't live in a town - I kind of like to live quietly and away from people. That's why I'm writing you after I found your website. My property is surrounded by forest and a variety of wildlife, which I enjoy. But I've been experiencing something quite unusual the past several weeks. I'm hoping you can tell me what's going on. I first noticed rocks and pebbles on my patio table. I would removed them, but the next day there were more. This occurred 3 times on consecutive nights, so I decided to place a motion detection cam directed towards the table. Nothing happened for a few days, but then one morning there were about 20 baseball sized rocks on the table. I immediately checked the cam, but the only thing that triggered it was a raccoon that made a visit. It did look like the rocks were on the table by that time (3:35am). I still set up the cam, but nothing triggers it other than a few small animals - but the rocks continue to show up. This is not the only unusual activity I am having - and I'm wondering if there is a connection with the rocks on the table. I was sitting on the patio one evening, trying to read. But I was hearing odd noises coming from the woods, in the direction of a stand of huckleberry bushes. I figured it was just small animals or birds, but then it started to sound like giggling children. I watched for a while until it became too dark. But I was curious, so I continued to listen. After about an hour, I suppose it was 9:30pm or so, I witnessed 4 orbs quickly rising from the bushes and soar into the woods. The orbs were bright white and about the 10" in diameter - it was quite a sight and I was amazed. I stayed outside for another hour, but didn't notice anything else. If you could contact me, I'd like to discuss this with you. JK NOTE: I received this account last week and I finally got in contact with the witness last night. The witness is an elderly man, quite open-minded but concerned about his privacy. As far as the activity, I really have no explanation for him. The rocks showing up on the table reminds me of other reported Bigfoot activity. The fact that nothing was captured on the cam is a bit strange. I suppose it possible that the cam was malfunctioning. I mentioned this to the witness...and he had thought early on that this may be the case. The orbs are another matter. This doesn't seem to be spirit energy...simple because the orbs seemed to coordinate the movement together. Could these have been supernatural beings...well, that's the big question. The witness has decided to set up other motion detection cams. If he captures any strange activity, he promises to contact me. And on the way back, we decided to go through the mountains because I had never seen the mountains. And we made kind of a bad choice of starting later in the afternoon and it ended up getting very dark and we had no clue how far we were or anything. You know, it was way before GPS. And so we finally, up in the mountains found a motel. And it was just a little rinky dink motel and I wasn't anything I would have really like to have stayed in but we were tired and we wanted to see the mountains the next day on the way down. So we pulled in and we all just went straight to bed. The boys got a double bed, you know, the two Queens and the boys on one bed and my husband and I on the other. In the middle of the night, I woke up and there was a man standing by my bed. I mean it was a shadow. All I could see was a black shadow. I can't see anything else. I woke my husband up and I was having trouble waking him up. I kept shaking him and I looked at him and when I looked back, he was gone. I mean, the weird thing is, the next day, the next morning, we got up to go to the car, he kept saying, oh, I was just dreaming but I knew I was awake. His Jumpsuit was Silver, with Orange Trim. His eyes were large and black, and his skin a fleshy grey. It felt like I was being stabbed with pins, burning, and having my eyes torn open. I remember trying to pull the car over, but my hands couldn't move. The voice sounded almost feminine, though the lips didn't move, and went on for what seemed like hours, but I remember hearing "Yes. Last week the Bureau of Land Management’s National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board recommended that the Bureau euthanize or sell “without limitation” excess “unadoptable” horses and burros in the BLM’s off-range corrals and pastures. An “unadoptable” horse or burro is typically at least 5 years old, making them less attractive for purchase or adoption. The bureau has more than 44,000 horses and more than 1,000 burros in off-range pastures and corrals. As if it wasn't already difficult enough working in sub-zero temperatures at a remote Arctic base, the five meteorologists currently stationed on Troynoy Island off the coast of Siberia have been unable to go outside at all for weeks due to the local wildlife. In Russia it is actually illegal to kill polar bears so the only way the team can deal with them is to scare them away using flares and rubber bullets - both of which they have already run out of. Some of the bears have even taken to sleeping outside the facility's windows which has made it impossible for the researchers to venture out of the building at all. The weather bureau in Arkhangelsk, which is about 1,200 miles away, is sending an aircraft with replacement flares and other supplies however it is likely to take them a week to get there. "The bears live in the Arctic, you know - we can't ban them from hanging around," said station supervisor Vasily Shevchenko. New 'Champ' Video? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 07:51 AM PDT A video has surfaced that may show a supposed view of 'Champ', the underwater cryptid associated with Lake Champlain. On another note, 'Champ' researcher Katy Elizabeth continues her exhaustive study and investigation of the elusive cryptid. The owner of the video, a 33-year-old Navy veteran and IT student who provided a full name but asked to remain anonymous, told Cryptozoology News that the sighting took place back in late July. ” I had placed a motion activated camera trap at the water’s edge. At 4:00 a.m., in the darkness, it recorded video of an unusual animal,” he said. The 31-second-long video file, which he titled Champ 2016, shows footage taken by two different cameras in a split screen containing something floating or swimming through the dark water. “The head, similar in morphology to an alligator head, can be seen moving through the water. Only the top half appears visible, also similar to how an alligator moves it on the water’s surface with only eyes and nostrils exposed,” he told Cryptozoology News. “Deep eye ridges, vertical pupil, very similar to an alligator except for a protrusion on the snout between the eyes. A snout crest possibly? The nostrils seem more to point more forward than an alligators” The Vermont resident claims he has had another sighting of this creature before, but that he did not report it because he lacked the evidence to support it. And, he says, even though this could be something as unusual as a reptile with a snout crest or simply a beaver moving branches, he wants others to express their serious opinion about the video. “I can prove the location of the video by matching all the footage from the camera to an actual location, but will only do so for a serious researcher who has credentials sufficient to persuade the scientific community,” he said. Champ is the name of an unproven giant water reptile reputed to live in Lake Champlain, between New York, Vermont, and part of Quebec, Canada. In September 2015, two people in Chittenden County, Vermont, told Cryptozoology News they saw a dinosaur-like creature swimming in the waters of Lake Champlain. Vergennes is named after the Frenchman Charles Gravier, Comte de Vergennes, who helped the rebels during the American Revolutionary War.
