Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day 8 Werecat
Terri had only just started to strip out of her clothes for a midnight swim when the clouds parted and the full moon became visible. Her heart skipped a beat, time seemed to slow, her eyes drawn to the bright moon as they dilated. It felt as if every molecule of Terri’s body was being pulled by that moon, tugged, urged, changed. Her heart started to beat faster as the moonlight shined down upon her, it felt as if it would burst from her chest. Strange thoughts filled her mind, feral thoughts of running at night and searching for prey.
She grit her sharpening teeth and let out a snarl as she tried to shake the foreign images from her mind but as the muscles and bones in her face twisted she clenched her clawed hands in a mixture of pain and ecstasy. Fur started to sprout from her boy rapidly, and the shirt that still covered her arms started to split and tear and lean muscles and fur filled it beyond capacity. She fell to all fours as her spine cracked and popped, twisting and grinding as it lengthened, growing out into a short knobby tail that slowly grew long and fur covered.

Terri’s ears were pointed and shifted position on her head, as they became more dexterous and emotive they fell flat to her head and she let out a yowl. Her eyes, now golden, still caught in the moon’s trance. Her nose turned pink as whiskers and hairs covered much of her face, her teeth continued to grow, her hand now looked like bestial claws and she torn at her clothing as she tried to free herself from the restrictive garment. Her sharp claws tore it to shreds and she collapsed by the edge of the pool.

She lay still for a few moments while her body calmed down from the strange and sudden change, but Terri’s mind raced and it was only moments before she jumped to her feet and dashed into the woods. It had been nearly twenty years since the last full moon on a Halloween, people had forgotten about the rumors, the tales of strange creature in the dark, but there was more truth to the tales than they realized and a beast on the prowl this Halloween night.
