Thirteen Days of Halloween TFs 2: Day 7 Orc
She had been looking to find a new gym to work out at since she had moved, and when she saw the flyer advertising a free month’s trial if you came in on the 31st. She didn’t have any plans, she was new to town, having just moved, and didn’t really know anyone. Maybe a Halloween party was just the thing she needed to meet some new people.

Finding a something to wear was a workout in it’s own right for the lithe girl, but after an hour of looking through boxes she found some of her stuff from the last blizzcon she went to. Fake pointed ears and teeth, and a plastic axe. With a little effort she made a reasonable if generic orc.

She looked at herself in the mirror.

“Zug zug.”
She sighed and shrugged, it would have to do.

The rest of the day she went about unpacking boxes and setting up her apartment until the time for the party. She hastily threw on her costume and grabbed her plastic axe. It was late, most of the kids had already turned in for the night and most people out in costume were her age or older, returning from parties or drinking.

By the time she reached the gym it was already eleven, but it looked as if people were only just arriving. She nervously made her way in and tried not to embarrass herself. There was only one employee for the gym at the party and he quickly disappeared to get more plastic cups after having explained the promotion and encouraged everyone to look at and use the equipment or to just hang out.

The nervous orc girl ate some bland chips while an older “wolf” man talked about the time he hiked the Appalachian trail and she had to politely excuse herself to go try out one of the gyms equipment. She worked the lat pull down and watched some of the other gym goers as she worked out and saw that they seemed cool enough. A mix of ages and genders, but none of those over the top assholes like back in the city.

She lost track of time and it wasn’t long before midnight approached. As the clock ticked and the hands both reached twelve a hush fell over the room. All of the gym patrons stood motionless and silent, paralyzed by some unseen force. The orc girl felt like her body was being ripped apart, every muscles, every nerve was on fire for a few seconds that lasted ages, but eventually the intense sensation passed and she collapsed to the floor along with the others.

She coughed and hacked as she tried to catch her breath and even though the feeling of having the wind knocked out of her was foremost in her mind she couldn’t help but to notice something. The “wolf” man from earlier, his tail was wagging. It was huge and detailed and wagging. Moments before it had been a fake, limp, dark black costume piece clipped onto his belt, but she could see where the tail had ripped through his pants and it was graying like his actual hair. Nearby a girl who had been wearing elf ears and pretty makeup looked at her elegant and detailed clothes in awe, but the orc girl instantly disliked her intensely.

The orc girl reached a green hand up to the lat pull to push herself up, she couldn’t decide if the ease at which she sprung to her feet or the size and green color of her arm was more shocking. She looked herself over through her now violet eyes, her body was ripped, corded muscles trained for combat as much as manual labor. She ran her tongue over her shark tusked teeth and felt the jingle of a thick nose ring in her now somewhat flat nose.

A girl no larger than her fist flew by on fairy wings and was shouting something shrill and panicked. The Wolfman was growling and the Elvin girl was backing toward the door. Suddenly the man who organized the party finally reemerged from the back room with a bowl of punch and some cups.

“Wow, you guys really have some great costumes, I swear they look more real every time I see them!”
