Billy Meier and Michael Horn with Weddingcake craft

Deceiving all the way to the bank.

People who are seriously interested in the subject of UFOs, sooner or later will stumble on the Billy Meier case. Depending on the source they will find, with a bit of bad luck, they are likely to waste a lot of their precious time on this case, for which (after careful scrutiny of the facts and evidence) there is no doubt possible it is nothing more than a very elaborate deception. It is probably THE biggest UFO "hoax" to this date, and it would certainly deserve a mention in the Guinness book of records if there was a suitable category for it, due to the sheer quantity of various fake evidence that is offered as "proof" for the authenticity of this case.

Merely calling this case a "hoax" is actually not doing justice to the scale and deliberateness of the deception, nor to the very aggressive exchanges between those who defend the case, and those who try to expose it for what it really is. It is a case that can have, and has had, devastating effects on certain people interested in the subject of UFOs. It also offers an easy opportunity for people who systematically try to ridicule this subject, it be by "religious" skeptics or by the media.
Typically, the "Meier believers" will accuse anyone who rejects Meier's claims and evidence of vicious unfounded "debunking", and make them out to be this kind of "religious skeptics", while in reality in most cases nothing could be further from the truth. What's more, Meier himself claims all other ET-contactee and UFO sighting cases of recent history are frauds, and that his own case is the only authentic one! Interestingly, the same Meier followers who are accusing others of unfounded debunking of the Meier case, don't seem to mind the fact that Meier can't be bothered to give any evidence for his own accusations... Only in june 2006, Meier has claimed through his "contact notes" (through the words of the imaginary Pleiadian "Ptaah") that all sightings of UFOs are in fact sightings of crafts associated with the Pleiadians. This indicates that apparently, the pressure to ignore and deny the abundant number of UFO sightings has become too much for Meier. However, that statement is accompanied by the claim that all other contact and abduction cases, even that of Betty and Barney Hill (which is very well documented), are frauds...
The truth is: UFOs are a reality, and there are many indications that beings who originated on other planets from other star-systems than ours, are visiting our planet regularly, commonly using crafts that are the result of very advanced technologies. This being said, a significant number of UFO sightings probably concerns crafts of terrestrial origins with very advanced secret technologies. It appears that some of these technologies have been obtained through exchanges with certain ETs, and/or through reverse engineering of retrieved ET crafts.
The other truth is: the Billy Meier case is a complete fraud. And if one knows where to look, a pretty obvious one too...
So why then spent an extensive article on it, like the one you're reading? The reason for that is the fact that the case doesn't stop to lure people getting into it due to the scale of deception and sheer number of lies and misinformation that circulate about it. It has actually grown into something of a religious cult, with the potential of being carried on until far after Meier's eventual passing away, polluting any serious research into the UFO subject for possibly a very long time. And the last thing this world could use is another religious fabrication and manipulation...
Also, apparently it isn't possible to simply post online a few of the photographs that were made by Meier of alleged ET crafts, accompanied by comments that they are fake, as I did on this website, without regularly receiving all sorts of virulent attacks by email from a number of Meier supporters. Hopefully, this article will weed out those who act out of naivety or due to being misinformed...
Let it be stressed that although some people like to believe that there is a "slight possibility" that Meier "may" have had "some" experiences with UFOs in his life, either seeing an occasional UFO or having had an occasional encounter with ETs, even though he "might" have faked some material, there is actually NO credible basis whatsoever for this assumption, and it would go straight against the logic of the scale of the deception seen.
This article is meant to give a concise overview of the main aspects of this case and to offer the necessary elements to understand as best as possible how and why the fraud has been put together. It is by no means intended to be exhaustive. Quite on the contrary: the quicker we'll get through it all, the better this article will serve its purpose (but it is a known fact that laughter is good for ones health, and therefore it's recommended to obtain maximum benefit from it while going through the material presented here! ;) ).

The story - From delinquent to prophet
The official story of the Billy Meier case goes something like this:
At age 5, little Eduard Meier sees his first extraterrerstrial craft, and not long afterward he is contacted telepathically by beings from the Pleiades star-cluster. After some exchanges, the contacts seize for a while, and only start again at age 16, when he is told to travel the world and have a wide range of experiences in order to be educated and prepared for his "mission" as a prophet, teacher and mediator between the world and the Pleiadian ETs.
On one of his travels, at age 28 Meier has a tragic car accident in which he loses his left arm. That same year, he meets his Greek wife Kalliope. As he had the habit of walking around carrying a gun in a holster, Meier, whose real first name is "Eduard", is given the nickname "Billy", after "Billy the kid".

Meier as Billy Kid

In 1975, at age 38, Meier has become a farmer in Switzerland, and he allegedly gets the "permission" to make spectacular photographs and films of the crafts of the Pleiadians. In the period that follows he has many face to face contacts with the Pleiadian ETs. Meier's role as a prophet, teacher and mediator is fully developed, and to support it, a "non-profit" organization is created, called FIGU (a German abbreviation for "the Free Community of Interests for the Fringe and Spiritual Sciences and UFO-logical Studies"), through which Meier's farm is also conveniently taken care of, which is now called the "Semjase Silver Star Center"...
The unofficial story draws a somewhat less glorious picture:
After a rather troubled youth, dropping out of school, and spending +/- 4.5 years in and out of prison and a facility for troubled youths, Meier escapes from a correctional facility and flees to France where he immediately enlists in the French Foreign legion (or, to put it more bluntly: after years of delinquency and committing petty crimes, he decides to become a mercenary, ready to kill for a fee...).
After having spent a few months in the legion, while being on assignment in Algeria, he decides to desert the legion and becomes a fugitive once more. Nevertheless, after a short while, he chooses to return to Switzerland where he surrenders and serves out the remainder of his sentence. To part from his troubled past, and in a quest "to find himself", Meier spends the next 12 years traveling through North-Africa and Asia, also spending some time in an Indian ashram, where he has his first experiences with faking UFO pictures.
Apparently, sometime around 1960 (it seems before Meier's stay at the Indian ashram, and his first photo experiments there of 1964), Billy Meier met George Adamski during a lecture in Switzerland, where Meier even asked for a private audience. Undoubtedly, Adamski was a major inspiration for Meier, and he took over more than a few elements characteristic of the Admaski case, for which also fake films and photos were used. Not feeling obliged in any way whatsoever, and probably out of sheer opportunism, in later years Meier wrote much about the Adamski case, accusing it of being a complete fraud (which is probably true to a large extent).
In Turkey, in 1965, Meier works as a truck/bus driver for a while, and he loses one of his arms in a tragic but stupid accident because of driving while letting his left arm hang out of the window, which resulted in it being ripped off. During his convalescence, Meier meets Kalliope whom he marries within 2 months. After their marriage, the Meiers spend some time in Pakistan before establishing themselves in Switzerland, where Billy has a very hard time to make ends meet. In 1973, the Meiers move into an old farmhouse in the small town of Hinwill, and they survive as best they can from various activities at the farm.
In 1974, Meier decides to set up a group for discussing "metaphysical and paranormal subjects", and puts out an ad for it. It is during a meeting of this group that Meier first talks about having been contacted by the Pleiadians. To convince the members of his group who are sceptic at first, Meier subsequently produces his first series of spectacular pictures of "Pleiadian crafts", which succeed in convincing some members, while others simply leave the group. It marks the official beginning of Meier, as "the Pleiadian mediator and prophet".
Rumors of Meier's alleged alien encounters spread, and in 1976 his photographs of "Pleiadian crafts", are published for the first time, in an Italian magazine, after which things keep growing and more and more people get involved, resulting in more publications, and a couple of documentary films. The "Meier case" becomes famous all over the world, and results in many heated debates about its authenticity, while Meier steadily keeps expanding his activities, continuously coming up with new "evidence" of all sorts, and writings, amongst which some published books.
All this gives the Meiers a much needed financial break, and thanks to contributions from friends and those who believe Meier's stories and evidence, they can finally buy the farm they live in, and become financially solvable.
As we can see from this brief biography, it seems that Meier's first motivation to fabricate stories about having been contacted by Pleiadians may most probably have been a deep need to gain personal respect and importance, which is not difficult to understand when looking at his troubled past. It's only after being successful with this that the money motive must have kicked in, as since acquiring his initial fame and importance, Meier has continuously produced (often obviously) fake evidence and various writings of fabricated accounts and even "sacred" texts, which are all commercially exploited in one way or another. Nevertheless, it seems that the thirst for personal idolatery has never really left him, so in the end both reasons should probably be considered Meier's main motivators for perpetuating his fraud.
It's remarkable to see that at present, his supporters do indeed revere him as the prophet he pretends to be, considering it "impossible" that Meier would have made everything up. None of them seem to ask themselves if an ex-mercenary who wouldn't mind to kill for a fee would really have much scruples to put together a deception that would give him much desired fame and income. Meier's desertion from the French Foreign legion may indicate he was not ready to go as far as to commit war-crimes, such as those that occurred during the Algeria campaign, but his whole adventure with it indicates how much he really valued a human life...
In 1997/98, Kalliope decides to divorce from Billy Meier, after having helped for many years to maintain the lie, although never explicitly adding to it (and for instance never having lied about seeing a craft or a Pleiadian ET). She decides to tell her story to a reporter, and admits that the alleged contact experiences of Billy Meier are entirely fictitious, and even points out details about how some of the photographic evidence was faked.
These statements resulted in various threats to her, while it didn't help the settlement of their divorce, especially since Meier suffered some financial setbacks due to these publications.
Meier still goes on expanding the activities of his fraud, which is now more and more a religious cult, attracting followers who often tend to be as fanatic and oblivious to reason as is the case for many other religious cults, with all its inherent potential dangers..

Meier as Billy Kid

The Meier case defenders - Fighting for the cover-up.
One of the things that makes the Meier case stand out amongst others, is the fact that a number of individuals have involved themselves with this case full-time (more or less), either working at propagating it, or by dedicating themselves to counter-attacks on any negative exposure of the case, by any mean they can think of, including threats of various kinds, even physical.
It has become clear that most of these individuals are very much aware of Meier's fakery of "evidence" like photographs and films. It seems that, very much like for Meier himself, money and/or some form of fame and attention would be the main motives for most of them to be perpetuating Meier's lies. But I've also come to believe that some of those involved might be serving a hidden agenda of spreading disinfo about UFOs, either to serve as a diversion or to ridicule it.
Since a few years, the most virulent "defender" of the Meier case is probably Michael Horn, who calls himself Meier's "official media-representative". Apparently, Horn works more or less full-time promoting the Meier case, and generating an income from the many products related to it, which he sells on his website. His activities include appearing in TV and radio interviews, or at UFO conventions that choose to give attention to the Meier case and who are willing to pay for Horn's appearence and/or travel expenses. He also makes it a point to contact anyone who publishes info on the web that exposes the Meier fakery, as has also occurred in our case, besides engaging in endless discussions on any forum he can find. Horn distinguishes himself most particularly through his insolent aggressive "below the belt" style of communicating with all who refuse to unconditionally believe the Meier case is authentic. Typically, this has resulted in him being banned from many forums...
Another active defender of the Meier case is Dr. James ("Jim") Deardorff, who specializes in giving pseudo-scientific arguments in support of the Meier evidence, like for the photographs, film footage, and "sacred" texts like the "Talmud of Jmmanuel". Deardorff has published a book on the Talmud, and he has therefore a direct interest in maintaining Meier's credibility...
Both Horn and Deardorff like to pose as "scientific" researchers, who follow the most rigorous methods to prove the Meier case is authentic. In fact, as a rule, their work is always full of manipulation, deception (including flagrant lies), misrepresentations of facts, and can not stand the test of any scientific standard. When they discuss accusations of fraud and fakery, most of the time their practice is that of throwing up a smokescreen, ignoring and covering up any valid or even irrefutable arguments that are given against certain evidence. If one can find various presentations of the Meier case, typically accompanied by words like: "Stop the cover-up!" (of the existence of UFOs), most evidently in this case the main cover-up comes from the Meier case defenders themselves...
One of the earliest defenders of the Meier case is the retired Lieutenant Colonel Wendelle C. Stevens, who got on the case as early as in 1977, and who teamed up with Lee Elders and his wife Brit to produce several books and videos about it, some of which are still being sold today.
At first sight, one could think Stevens and the Elders were merely UFO enthusiasts with a genuine interest for the subject. But when researcher Kal K. Korff looked up Wendelle Stevens about the Meier case, he had to notice that the latter refused discussing certain issues that could compromise the case. Stevens was clearly hiding something.
With that, when looking closer at the documentary film/video production "Contact", produced by Lee and Brit Elders, which is featuring Stevens in a prominent way, it becomes obvious that certain investigation procedures shown in the film are completely bogus, as is illustrated most embarassingly by the account of Mr Wayne Heppler from a reputable computer systems company, De Anza Systems, where the production team shot some footage and obtained some computer processed enhancements of the Meier images, that were completely irrelevant and nonsense, from a scientific viewpoint that is, not considering their artistic qualities... (see this article, and this article, or same here).
The question is, have Stevens and the Elders deliberately added to the deception purely for financial reasons, or could there be more? In their case, fame and attention don't seem to play a role. On the other hand, we note that Stevens is ex-military, while Lee Elders is presented (in the video "Contact") as the president of a company of commercial counter-espionnage. What could have motivated a retired military man, and the owner of a succesful espionage company (with most probably connections to certain three letter government agencies, as is rather common for such companies) motivate to produce books and videos, and deliberately cover-up and even support Meier's fakery? Would it be too far fetched to suspect some kind of covert disinformation operation aimed at leading the public's attention away from genuine UFO cases, and secret projects like those at area 51?
Whatever the true motives of all those involved in the Meier case, it must be understood that deception is not only found coming from Meier himself, but from most of the individuals that play a role of some significance in propagating this case...

The "evidence" - A deluge of diversion.
Meier produced a massive body of "evidence" of his contacts with the Pleiadian beings, amongst which around over 200 (of which only a few dozen well-known) photographs of "Pleiadian crafts" and even some of the "Pleiadians" themselves, a dozen films of crafts, a recording of the sound that the crafts were supposed to have made, 3 mysterious pieces of metal allegedly not from this earth, several hundred accounts of information exchanges and related "prophecies", a "sacred text" that is meant to replace the Bible's new testament, and even the fingerprints of one of the "Pleiadians"! It has impressed more than a few (and has made more than a few pay for at least some of it). But in the end, after carefully looking over it, the only conclusion can be that ALL of this "evidence" is fake!
That ALL the "evidence" is fake and not just some of it, is necessarily concluded from various indications for largely most of it, as we will further describe below. There is so much of the evidence that can irrefutably be proven fake, that for the rare cases of "evidence" for which no conclusive proof of fakery can be given, it can be reasonably excluded that they are authentic, since strings need not always be visible on pictures and witnesses don't necessarily always tell the truth (they be aware of it or not)...
The amount of available (fake) evidence is a treat for all the individuals involved with this case who make a living out of it, or use it for other purposes, which is why one will find numerous writings and endless discussions on why a certain picture or footage is fake or not. The sheer quantity of evidence makes it possible to divert the attention as soon as someone notices something suspicious about a particular piece of evidence.
In particular Michael Horn and Jim Deardorff use this strategey excessively, making it a point to never directly address issues that are evidence of fakery. If they can't divert attention, then instead, their typical defence is to simply ignore what has been observed, and keep coming up with new arguments that should prove the evidence at hand is genuine, not bothered at anytime by what was found as proof of fakery. They will keep coming up with new arguments in this way, until those exposing the fakery get fed up with deconstructing the new arguments, and then they will declare "victory", claiming to have made another debunker "retract". Nothing could be further of the truth, of course...
And even if all this doesn't work, then they have the ultimate argument against any exposure of fakery: "semi-plausible deniability", which is a term referring to the fact that the "Pleiadians" would actually deliberately have let themselves (or rather: their "crafts") be filmed and photographed in ways that looked fake, so that "skeptics" would not be forced to make a quantum leap with the mind to accept the existence of the Pleiadian ETs, and change their paradigm... It takes a quantum leap of the mind to understand people would actually gobble this explanation (and yet they "fly"!)...
In fact, it appears that especially Horn's and Deardorff's endless discussions and arguing over Meier's "evidence", is merely meant to catch people's attention, and drive internet traffic to their websites, in the hope of selling the Meier-related material, or even some of their other products.

Both Horn and Dearforff have been caught in deliberate flagrant lies as well as more subtle forms of deception and manipulation. An example of such a lie coming from Michael Horn is given below, concerning the cuts found in films. Another example is the fact that he likes to attribute completely invented or partly invented quotes to genuine experts, that are supposed to support certain evidence. This has been irrefutable proven by Derek Bartholomaus.

An example (amongst many) of Deardorff deliberately trying to deceive his public is his editing of the picture of "Asket" (see below), trying to pass it off as genuine even after it had already been debunked as being the picture of a dancer of the Dean Martin TV-show. Overall, the examples of deception in the way he has chosen to "defend" Meier's evidence, including the Talmud of Jmmanuel, are too numerous and often too complex to show here, but some cases will be touched on below.

For those who wish to get an efficient and concise handle on much of the evidence advanced in the Meier case, the following chapters give an overview (albeit non-exhaustive) of what indications one can find that prove fakery by Meier.

The handicap - Tricks of the one-armed bandit.
One of the most abused arguments by the Meier case defenders is that of: "how could a poor one-armed farmer have faked all those photographs and films? Even the most skillful 'Hollywood producers' can't pull-off such convincing images!". Well, there's a solution to anything, and it seems only fair to assume that the fact that Meier is handicapped doesn't mean he's is stupid, right? And maybe not all 'Hollywood producers' were asked to try their hands on doing some remakes of the Meier images. In fact, some professional model-builders for movie-sets have posted statements online about the Meier case, denouncing how ridiculous and obviously amateurish Meier's models are.
Seeing how most of the evidence was faked (see below) and the tools Meier used for it, there is no reason to believe he couldn't have faked his many photographs and film-footage. In fact, debunker Phil Langdon has proven that it's entirely feasible to produce ALL of Meier's well-known films and pictures using only 1 arm, because this is precisely the way he proceeded when making all his incredible remakes! Not only did he make ALL the models for his remakes with only one arm, he strictly used techniques that were available at the time that Meier made his fakes, i.e. he didn't use Photoshop, nor even any masking or overlay techniques (which were actually available to some extent at the time).

You can find all of Phil Langdon's stunning remakes here.
The person who sold Meier the film camera he used, noted that Meier specifically chose a camera that he could easily use with his only hand. In fact, he could make the camera film without having to hold the record-button, as we can see in his footage of the "weddingcake craft" model, where he appears a few moments in front of the camera. This means that with the camera being on a tripod, he could very well have filmed objects while manipulating them in various ways.
Obviously, Meier wouldn't have need help to type the text of his accounts, prophecies or sacred texts. Nor is it fair to assume he would have been too stupid to read and understand scientific publications of the time, from which he copied for his prophecies, including the errors... And reading genuine prophecies from Nostradamus, Malachy and others, can hardly be said to be exclusively reserved to an occasional hermetic esoteric.
The bottom line is: yes, a one-armed handicapped man could indeed have pulled off faking hundreds of photographs, a dozen films, a sound-sample (using the technique discussed below), fingerprints, an unconfirmed "sacred" text, and hundreds of fabricated accounts of encounters.
There is also the case of a sample of allegedly alien metal. The main problem with it: it's not available anymore for any kind of research! So there's simply no conclusive answer or verification possible for it, although as can be expected there are plenty of highly suspicious aspects to the story behind it, making it highly probably it's yet another deception. The scale of fakery in other fields strongly indicates it is/was most probably just another fabrication, perhaps even merely an alloy cleverly made by Meier himself, that fooled even a reputable scientist like Marcel Vogel... More on it in a following chapter.
It is a fact that these days in most casinos the biggest money makers are the jackpots, the innocent looking "one-armed bandits". The reason for that lies in the way they are calibrated, putting the odds always in favor of the house. Appearances can fool!

The film footage - Pulling the legs with strings.
The most prominent feature of the Billy Meier case is surely the great amount of film-footage he made of alleged ET "crafts", and that often seems to be of extraordinary quality. Many people have been impressed when seeing for the first time what appear to be crisp images of UFOs, filmed or photographed at sensationally close range.

Since the time I first got to learn about this case almost 15 years ago, I've had the opportunity to see probably all of it. For all these years I also owned a copy of the film/video "Contact", a film/video documentary about the Meier case produced by Lee and Brit Elders, featuring Wendelle C. Stevens, Jim Diletosso, Marcel Vogel, and others. This video covers all of the best known film-footage produced by Meier. It's also a big piece of deliberate deception and disinformation.

Having had the video for so long in my possession, long before any of the material became available on internet, such as on YouTube, I've had plenty of time to take a VERY good look at the footage, which I did on a professional video recorder that allows the most precise kind of frame by frame analysis, as well as precise acceleration and deceleration of the playing speed.

I was able to determine without ANY room for doubt or discussion, that in at least 2 films, Meier used cuts to make his "ET crafts" disappear. In fact, I'm not the only one to have found this, and when Meier was confronted with this finding concerning one of his films, he came up with yet another one of his absurd, totally improbable and quite laughable excuses for why it was found that there were cuts in the footage, blaming it on the fact that it was messed up by incompetent editors of a German TV-station!

A short video was edited by me, in which you can see the 2 films for which Meier used cuts, and how to spot them and recognize them as cuts. You can download the video by clicking here (92.5 MB for 12 minutes video, needs the DivX codec, if you don't already have it installed). You can find additional comments about the video in our forum, and you can find screen-captures of each frame of the vanishing craft of the 1st film here.

On Jim Deardorff's website the following statement is made (at http://www.tjresearch.info/BillyYes.htm ):

Quote: Meier then learned that the copy had been made only after several cuts and splices in his original film had been introduced. However, his comments on the videotape indicate his belief that this jump from one position to another (at the Bachtelhörnli-Unterbachtel site) had not been due to a cut in the film. This agrees with the fact that a portion, at least, of the craft is seen in both positions at once during the one frame of the jump.
As usual, the statement is everything but straightforward. But all we have to focus on is the fact that the cuts occur precisely on the frames of the craft disappearing and reappearing, and nowhere else! So the explanation by Meier is most obviously complete nonsense...
In any case, it's clear that the Meier-clan is more than aware of debunkers having exposed the cuts. It must therefore be understood that Michael Horn, who is Meier's "official representative" and who excels in gathering and presenting any fake evidence or argument imaginable to "prove" the Meier case is genuine, must know of this problem, and of Meier's ridiculous explanation.
Nevertheless, when showing the footage of the "vanishing craft", in his video called "The silent revolution of truth" (LOL!), at around 50:49, we can hear him state:

Quote:

50:49 - Now watch, as the object will suddenly dart away, in one frame dissappearing from view [...]
51:11 - When the films were examined at Nippon TV they discovered that indeed, there had been NO cutting, and that the object not only disappears in one frame, but pops back in one frame, just as suddenly.
By using the word "indeed", Michael Horn acknowledges that there have "indeed" been accusations of the "craft" being made to vanish by film trickery using cuts (although he doesn't mention this fact, before his comment quoted here). And so, obviously, Horn checked with Meier what his story is about it, as he meticulously does for all other issues in this case.
But nevertheless, Michael Horn's comment in the video means that he is rejecting no less than Meier's own explanation!!! Horn claims that there are NO cuts whatsoever, and even that a team of (bogus) "experts" has confirmed this, even when Meier has clearly stated and admitted that there ARE cuts!!
This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Horn can not be taken serious, and that he is deliberately deceiving and lying.

All in all, the fact that it has been proven that Meier used cuts to make it look as if his "ET craft" disappears, is devastating to his credibility, and in itself more than enough reason to reject the entire case.

Another procedure to spot trickery is to simply speed up the tape, for instance playing it at 2 to 3 times the normal speed. This is an absolutely ruthless and devastating method to bring out movements that point to fakery of some kind. When we do this for all the Meier footage of "flying crafts", and even the "immobile crafts", we clearly find that the objects seen are moving as hanging from a string. When the objects make big movements, then we see clear pendulum-like movements, or shaky un-smooth up and down movements, combined with wobble movements that are characteristic for objects attached to a string. When the objects are "immobile", we see they are actually not perfectly immobile, but slightly wobble just as it occurs when an object is hanging on a string (by the way, and off-topic: you might like to try speeding up the footage of the Apollo mission astronauts allegedly walking on the moon; See for yourself what you will find! More info about that subject can be found here).

We don't have to dwell on the many details that Meier's supporters like to advance in order to water down the discussion and somehow make these devastating findings less relevant. Whichever way one likes to present things, the proof of deliberate deception is irrefutable!

The video that I edited shows 3 of Meier's films which all contain flagrant evidence of fakery, such as the use of cuts, the fact that the models move in the way of a pendulum, or that they move in shaky ways indicative of being pulled manually. For the 3rd footage in which we see a model moving like a pendulum, you can find a thorough and very technical analysis by Bruce Macabee about the pendulum movement as well as various other issues such as the fact that the tree must have been a fake mini-tree here. Another article, about the fake mini-tree used in that particular footage, by Derek Bartholomaus, can be found here.

Many of the other details of HOW Meier created this or that illusion in his films are all fully clarified by the outstanding work of Phil Langdon, who took it upon himself to reproduce practically ALL of Meier's well-known films and pictures! He created remakes of such films as that of "the vanishing craft", of the craft moving in the way of a "pendulum", the "Wedding cake" craft, and the "hill jumping" craft. He definitely cracked all the main issues that have so endlessly been discussed, of how Meier did it!

So instead of going on endlessly about the intricacies of how the films were produced, see for yourself how Phil Langdon did it and what he found out, by viewing his videos and reading his reports which you can all find in our Meier section. You'll be amazed at the simplicity of it all!

That being said, one thing you'll notice from Phil Langdon's work is that Meier often created for his films and pictures somewhat elaborate set-ups with models hanging from strings, that still needed quite some work, time and space. It's quite obvious why he completely stopped making such films and pictures once his work became widely known, seeing that more and more visitors would come to see him, many of whom would stay at the farm. There was simply no good possibility left to create the elaborate set-ups without getting noticed!

Another point worth of being mentioned is that notwithstanding the fact that Meier claims to have highly privileged relations with the Pleiadians, he NEVER EVER filmed a landing by a Plejaren "Beamship", much less one of the Plejarens getting out of such a craft. Ever wondered why that would be? Billy gave the answer: the Pleiadians fear that some humans could send "bad" vibes upon seeing how they look, therefore they have never allowed Meier to film them! But hey, wait, didn't Meier photograph the Pleiadians called "Asket" and "Nera" with their faces clearly visible (even though Meier later claimed his pictures were "forged")? Well, ask Billy how that would come, he'll surely think of something!

The photographs - A piece of cake.

If there's one thing that stands out in the Meier case, it's the sheer quantity of photographs of seemingly extraordinary quality, of what are allegedly extraterrestrial crafts.

When Meier's pictures started to get attention from a world-wide audience, although a number of fairly good photographs of UFOs had been made up to that time, they were generally nothing like Meier's crisp and clear shots, taken at extraordinary close range.

While it's relatively easy to show flagrant proof of fakery for the film-footage made by Billy Meier, such as the occurence of obvious cuts and the pendulum movement characteristic for objects hanging on strings, it's generally much more difficult to do so for a good picture where "false perspective" trickery has been used. That's why the previous chapter started by reviewing Meier's films, even though Meier started his hoaxing career by faking photographs.

Contrary to what one might be led to believe, when photographing a model that is hanging from a string such as a nylon transparent fishing line, the string will generally NOT be visible on the photograph or film, unless a particularly close zoom was used. So ANY visible signs of strings are quite fortuitous, and all the more significant when they can be spotted on Meier's pictures.

The bottom line is that such strings have been spotted in quite a few pictures. WAY too many pictures to grant any credibility at all to the claim that ANY picture made by Meier shows an authentic ET craft. Here are just a few examples (click to enlarge some of the picts):

String exposed (as appeared in Peter Brookesmith's article "The camera never lies?"):

However, as it turns out, for many people such flagrant evidence of trickery by Billy Meier is not enough to critically re-examine his claims, seeing that there are still many pictures where no strings can be spotted at all. So just maybe these might be genuine then?

Be assured, there's no such thing as "genuineness" in the Meier case, besides a genuine con...

Fortunately, Meier did a few too many attempts at fooling the public with his pictures. Due to his obsession with trying to make convincing pictures of a model close to large objects like a house, tree or car, he made a couple of fatal mistakes that resulted in the most flagrant proof of deception by Meier, besides the cuts in the films and the pendulum movements.

The most hilarious mistake is probably the fact that he used a common type of garbage-can lid to build his model of a "Plejaren Beamship", which became known as the "Weddingcake craft" due to its resemblance with such a cake. After Meier's ex-wife Kalliope pointed out in a TV-documentary that he used such a lid for one of his models, some astute observers were able to spot the particular characteristics of the lid that could also be seen on the model, thereby proving that Meier indeed used that particular type of garbage-can lid! For all the details on this story, see here.

After this discovery, it was found that on one of the pictures the WC craft model was appearing to be in front of a car at close distance, which was yet more proof of trickery (in fact an error in the use of the false perspective technique, for details see the link mentioned previously).

These were not the only proofs of deception by Meier found in the WC craft photo series. There are many, many more, such as incongruous focus settings, missing shadows (due to the model being too close to the camera), mini-trees that are obviously fake, a car that is clearly a toy-car, etc, etc... (for all these issues, find more at the link mentioned previously).

But regardless of all this flagrant proof of deception, the most fanatical Meier supporters would still hold to their delusion, and chief deceiver Michael Horn would keep claiming that the only way to proof Meier's pictures are fake, would be to reproduce them up to the finest details.

Well, as the saying goes, always be careful with what you ask for, as you just might get it! As it turned out, Phil Langdon got so fed up with the deception, that he set out to reproduce ALL of Meier's key pictorial "evidence", including the WC-craft pictures AND film.

The result has been the most stunning photo and video remakes you will ever see of the Meier material. And the most hilarious as well, I might add. You can find all of these at the link mentioned previously and in many articles posted in our section on the Meier hoax. Here is just one example of such a remake, of one of Meier's best known pictures of the Weddingcake craft at the farm:

Weddingcake in front of Meier's farm
Weddingcake 'craft' in front of Meier's farm.

And this is the remake by Phil Langdon of that picture:

Remake of Weddingcake in front of 'farm'
Remake of Weddingcake 'craf' in front of 'farm'.

Find many more stunning remakes in our section on the Meier hoax.

As it presently stands, the WC-craft photos and film are the ULTIMATE proof of deception by Meier. It's enough to settle the Meier case completely as being nothing but a hilarious hoax.

Another case of obvious fakery worth being mentioned here is a widely circulated photograph taken from the series known as the "Hasenbol set", where an alleged "Plejaren beamship" can be seen hanging in front of several tree-branches of a tree that is at a relatively close distance, which is only possible if the "craft" is actually a small model!

Even if it's obvious that we are seeing the "craft" hanging in front of a number of branches, some Meier supporters still refuse to accept the obvious, and would claim that some of the branches are actually seen in front of the model. While a number of branches are very obviously partly hidden by the model, when carefully scrutinizing the original picture, one can nevertheless notice some odd "noise" in the left wing of the model, vaguely outlining 2 branches.

However, further analysis shows that in fact, Meier must have tampered with the picture, as there are clearly a number of branches missing from the tree! See the comparison of the following picts (if you have difficulty in seeing the differences, save the picts to your harddisk and toggle between them in your image viewer):

Supposedly, pictures 164 and 174 shown below, were taken on the same day:

(the above assemblage is as taken from James Deardorff's site, and is presently removed / made inaccessible from that original site)
When we superimpose picts 164 and 174, it looks like the following (compare pict 164 and 174 also on the overview above):
Original pict 164:

Pict 164 with 174 superimposed (with 174 slightly transparent, at 80% opacity):

On picture 174, we notice the following branches:

Most of these branches are missing on pict 164!! This is absolute proof that the picture has been tampered with!!

Compare the above with original (or compare on overview above):

It's therefore quite certain that Meier must have done some kind of overlay or double exposure, which resulted in the model being slightly transparent in places. In any case, even those particular branches are not clearly in front of the model's wing.

The bottom line is that the model can not be behind as well as in front of the branches of the same tree at the same time, and there is simply no possible doubt that a number of branches are partly hidden by the model.

Add to this the missing branches and the flagrant deception by Meier in so many other instances, and the conclusion has to be that the original Hasenbol picture offers enough evidence of trickery to be categorized as a complete fraud.

For more about the faked Hasenbol pictures, also see the articles and videos about the stunning remakes made by Phil Langdon, of which part 1 can be found here.

There are many other pictures of "Beamships" which all have various kinds of clues that they are fake. Generally, the clues are found in the domain of spotting the signs of false perspective trickery, finding strings, or finding various kinds of impossible features, such as for the cases mentioned previously.

However, there are a number of pictures that can be classified as obvious fakes just because..., well because they're so obviously fake, duh...

Among those obvious fakes (and there are many more than those discussed here!) are the pictures of what Meier claimed to be the Plejarens "Asket" and "Nera".

Billy Meier fake Pleiadians Asket & Nera

Diligent researchers were able to identify these gorgeous ladies as dancers of the popular American Dean Martin TV-show!

Dean Martin & Golddiggers
Dean Martin & Golddiggers.

Dean Martin & Golddiggers
Dean Martin & Golddiggers.

The blonde "Asket" was identified as Michelle DellaFave:

Michelle DellaFave
Michelle DellaFave.

Dean Martin & Golddiggers
Dean Martin & Golddiggers.

Michelle Della Fave contacted Derek Bartholomaus personally, reacting to publications on his website, and confirmed that she was indeed the person on the pictures that are claimed to be of "Asket", and that "Nera" was actually Susan Lund. So there is no basis to doubt that all the pictures of her as "Asket" are fake!

These pictures were published in "UFO…Contact From The Pleiades Volume II". The first edition appeared back in 1983, and was fully approved by Billy Meier! In 1991 another picture of the fake "Asket" (shown below) was included in the book "...Und Sie Fliegen Doch!" (German version of "And Yet... They Fly!"), by Guido Moosbrugger. Again, no complaint from Meier was ever noted.

Only in 1998 did researcher Kal Korff expose the fact that these pictures showed dancers from the Dean Martin show, in a TV-special and a publication of the magazine "UFO Kurier".

Billy Meier and his hoax-collaborators tried to cover up this blunder in ways that are as much hilarious as merely consisting of obvious bold-faced lies.

Around 2001, Meier himself started out by claiming his pictures were "forged" by the evil MIB (Men In Black), that the original pictures he released himself were actually replaced by these shadow operatives, in order to discredit Meier! It was a nice try, and many people actually still believe it, as many don't realize that from 1983 to 2001 (for some 18 years!) Billy had no problem whatsoever with these pictures appearing in "Contact From The Pleiades Volume II", and being passed off as showing authentic Pleiadian ETs!

Thus, in the English publication of "And Yet... They Fly!" of 2001, these photos of "Asket & Nera" were published with new explanations for them, and up to around 2003, a picture of "Asket" / Michelle DellaFave was still posted at theyfly.com (M. Horn's website) with an appropriate text. It has since been removed there, but can still be found at the US FIGU website (click to enlarge):

'Asket' forged

It's particularly telling to see how collaborators like Jim Deardorff tried to spin the exposure of fakery as "flawed". By presenting Meier's pictures in a sleight-of-hand type way by comparing them with other unresembling pictures of Michelle DellaFave, or by slightly editing her picture to make it look unresembling, he repeatedly tried to pass off Meier's pictures as being genuine despite the debunking, and even when Meier had already admitted they were "forged"!!

First Deardorff tried to pass-off Meier's picture as genuine, comparing it to an unresembling picture of Michelle DellaFave (with original caption text by Deardorff, as is still posted on his site here, and as referred to at this page):

'Asket' & unresembling Michelle DellaFave

Not only did Deardorff try to mislead by comparing 2 different pictures, he also edited the contrast settings of the original used to get the picture on the left, to make it look as if Meier's picture showed a person with a thinner chin than the other picture of Michelle DellaFave on the right.

Below Deardorff's edited version is on the left, while the original is on the right at the top, with a remake of the edit (to get the thin chin) made by myself below:

'Asket' & Michelle DellaFave edits

These are all very good examples of how not only Billy Meier, but even his collaborators are deliberately deceiving their gullible audience. And with quite a bit of success!

In closing, we surely wouldn't like to round off this chapter without discussing a couple of pictures that are so incredibly laughably fake, that no advanced image analysis or diligent background research could add any significant argument to discard them as cheap frauds. Truly cheap, indeed. About as cheap as a toy-gun and a roll of gold-colored tin-foil bought at Wallmart. Judge for yourself.

Here's Meier holding what he claims to be a genuine Pleiadian "ray-gun" (or "laser pistol" as he also called it):

Billy Meier with 'ray-gun'

And here is a picture of what Meier claims is a genuine Pleiadian ET called "Alena", holding the "ray-gun" / "laser pistol":

Billy Meier with 'ray-gun'

It should be noted that Meier has never recognized there's anything wrong or fake about these pictures, and he even claims that the face of the Pleiadian was deliberately left outside of the picture's frame, because the Pleiadians felt the public would not yet be "ready" to see it! DUH... Note the highly "advanced" gold colored tin-foil spacesuit of the Pleiadian "ET"! Typically, when this picture was made, there was much publicity around the hoaxed Apollo moon missions, which showed objects like the Lunar Module wrapped in gold colored tin-foil (Kapton), which must surely have been the inspiration for using it to create the "space-suit".

Incidentally, Meier claimed that the Pleiadians have 6-fingers, and he even made a fake 6-fingered handprint to "prove" it. But rather mysteriously, the Pleiadian "Alena" shown in this picture only has 5-fingers. DUH!

What may be even more incredible than the obvious fakeness of the pictures, is the fact that Meier's supporter go as far as to claim that as long as nobody has found the "ray-gun" being sold in a toy-shop, or a picture of it showing how it must have been marketed originally, any claims that it's just a toy-gun are "unfounded"!! But of course, this doesn't take into account that Meier might have taken a toy-gun (or plastic utilitary gun) and then altered it to make it different from anything else. His usual way of creating "evidence".

Of course, the stubborn support of some people for the claim that even this alleged "ray-gun" is authentic, shows that there are moments where it's all too evident that discussing with fools (and disinformers) is pointless, and mostly a waste of time and energy...

For those who can't get enough of Billy Meier's faked pictures, or who just like to get an other good laugh (which is always welcome in these dark times, of course), find much more about them in the articles and photo-galleries in our Meier section. We also recommend a little visit to D. Bartholomaus' report on the hilarious fake pictures of a Dinosaur.

There is no use to go any further reviewing MANY other largely debunked examples of deception in Meier's photographs here (of which most are debunked in the other articles on our site, anyway), regardless of all the flawed arguments that Meier's supporters may come up with. No kind of "evidence" will make the flagrant deception of the cases mentioned above go away. It's more than enough to say: case closed!!!

The sound sample - The answer is blowing in the wind.

Of all the "evidence" that Meier produced to support his claim of having contact with ETs from the Pleiades, a sound recording that Meier claims to be of one of the Plejaren's crafts proved to elude the longest of all a satisfactory explanation of how it was actually made.

In the totally deceptive documentary film "Contact" (produced by Lee and Brit Elders), we can see the sound-sample being analyzed first by Robert Shellman, and then in a studio by Nils Rognerud and Steve Singer.

Robert Shellman is presented as a specialist in "sound-identification", and a report is quoted wherein he simply states that he can't identify the sound. Duh... It sure isn't the sound of a police-siren or a jetplane, but not being able to identify the sound as such doesn't mean it must therefore be something out of this world. Later, he is seen printing out a kind of frequency analysis, from which he draws some speculative conclusions about the source of the sound. In fact it is nothing but pure speculation, and his analysis does not take into consideration for even a moment that the sample could be fake. It's purely an analysis based on the idea that the sample is by definition what it's alleged to be. In the end, it neither confirms nor rejects the sample being genuine.
The analysis made by Nils Rognerud and Steve Singer is based on precisely the same premise. From a technical point of view, it's quite irrelevant. Although the analysis looks quite fancy with nice "techy" looking oscilloscopes that show certain aspects of the soundwave, and with one of the engineers throwing in some technical terms and concepts, in fact nothing substantial can be concluded from it about the authenticity or nature of the sound-sample, although all those appearing in the film make it look as if there's no doubt the sound must be that of a genuine space-craft!
In fact, for genuine experts it's obvious that the analysis shown in "Contact" is totally bogus, as is the rule for all the other "expert analysis" that is presented in support of the Meier hoax.
Since, among other things, I happen to be a professional sound-engineer myself, there were several reasons that compelled me to conclude that the analysis of "Contact" was just another deception, and that the sound-sample was fake.

Actually, one doesn't need to be a professional sound-engineer to realize that there's something hopelessly absurd about Meier's claims concerning the sound-sample. According to Meier (as told in the film "Contact"), the "super-advanced Pleiadian space-craft" made a terrible loud screeching noise. In fact, he claims it was so loud that neighbors who were up to three kilometers away ran out of their houses to see where the noise was coming from, and so loud that poor old Billy had to wrap his jacket around his head, but still suffered an excruciating headache that lasted for hours, while he was unable to hear anything "until the next day".
That sure sounds like a "high-tech" piece of equipment to me, DUH... Apparently, these Plejarens must be mean sado-masochists, seeing how they must cause havoc amongst their fellow ETs when they land such crafts at their home bases with noise levels that would even embarrass engineers from our own little planet Earth...
This ridiculous story is by itself the first important indication that the sound-recording is totally fake. Typically, footage of genuine UFO sightings show crafts that don't make ANY noise at all!! Only in some cases do people report having heard a low hum, but that's all. On the other hand, THAT fits much better with the idea of ultra advanced space-craft technology...

Still, until recently, all explanations that seemed plausible for HOW Meier actually recorded the sound, suffered from various problems. These all centered around the premise that the sound was recorded using some commonly used techniques to produce that kind of sound. These might have included the use of an early type of synthesizer, some kind of multi-track recording device (even an early type), the use of a tape-echo delay, the use of deliberate signal overdrive, and even the incorporation of sound-recordings made by NASA's voyager! Indeed, there is a striking resemblance between some of the Voyager recordings and Meier's.

However, all these speculations proved to be absolutely FALSE! The solution, as in all the other cases, proved to be the simplest of all: NO advanced sound-recording technology whatsoever was used to create and subsequently record the sound.

While working on a remake of one of Meier's films that involved a set-up where a "Beamship" model was hanging from a long line along the ground, to his big surprise Phil Langdon suddenly heard the sound that was unmistakeably very much like the sound that Meier recorded.

It turned out that the tension exerted on the string that the model was hanging from, made it act like a guitar string. And when the wind made it vibrate, together with the model of the craft working as a resonator (like the body of a guitar), this created that eerie sound that is so characteristic of what can be heard in Meier's recording!

The oscillating repetitiveness of the sound is purely the by-product of the rhythm of the string moving up and down.

No sound-engineer could ever come up with this explanation of how the sound was made, at least not while being in a recording studio, as the only way to discover how it was made is to actually get out of the studio and build the exact same kind of set-up that Meier used to fake his films and pictures!

You can read Phil Langdon's own account of how he made this discovery, and listen to his own re-recordings of the sound produced by Meier here.

An MP3 of Meier's original sound-sample can be found here (at theyfly.com).

Bogus "expert" analysis of the sound-sample can be found here (PDF file, at theyfly.com).

Of course, Phil Langdon's recreation of the sound is not 100% the same as Meier's, just as no two violin-players sound exactly the same. But it's obvious that they are made in the same way.

Also, Meier recorded the sound with a most basic cassette-recorder that was commonly available at the time, which results in ugly sound-distortion of the sound when it's not handled with caution. On the other hand, Phil Langdon re-recorded the sound with a device that includes self-adjusting of the sound-recording level, i.e. no "screeching" distortion will be heard.

After a thorough comparison, playing the sounds on a good HifFi set or a good pair of headphones, not just on average PC speakers, any objective listener will soon have to recognize that the sound heard in Phil Langdon's videos is produced in exactly the same way as Meier's sound.

For those who have previously extensively analyzed Meier's sound-recording: the rhythmic metal ticks that can be heard at the beginning of the recording (sounding like a low, dry cow-bell) are actually caused by a part of the model that is ticking against another part, while the model is moving rhythmically by the string going up and down.

Another issue worth of being mentioned concerning the "expert research" and "validation" of the sound, is the claim that Meier's sound contains frequencies that are outside the range of human hearing. It's another nice example of the typical pseudo-scientific mumbo-jumbo used to confuse readers into believing that very serious and thorough research was done on the Meier evidence. But the fact is that Meier recorded his sound with a very lo-fi cassette-recorder, which can only record frequencies that are ALL perfectly within the range of human hearing. For more details on this bogus claim, see here.

All this settles the sound-recording matter once and for all! It is FAKE, always has been, and always will be, just as all the other "evidence" produced by Meier!

The metal sample - Now you see it, now you don't.

What better idea could there be than to use "evidence" that is not there any more, to support your case? Well, this is precisely what Meier and his supporters have been doing with a sample of metal claimed to be of ET origin.

Billy Meier claims he was given 3 samples of metal by his "Plejaren" friends, as proof of their contact.

Meier's collaborators have done all they can to present things as if expert research of one of the samples conclusively proved it was not of this earth. But even if all the expert analysis would prove to be reliable (which can't be confirmed, as it stands), then such a conclusion would still not be permitted strictly based on the sample as such.

Here again, the facts concerning the metal samples are surrounded by a lot of scientific "mumbo-jumbo" and hocus-pocus. And as we know by know, the more confusion that the Meier supporters can cause, the more they like it...

The key personality involved in this issue is Marcel Vogel. Although Marcel Vogel seems to have been fully honest with his work on the Meier case (contrary to some of the other "experts"), the problem with him is that he was a chemist, i.e. he was NOT a professional metallurgist.

It was in his field of expertise, i.e. chemistry, that Vogel made several patented inventions. He also developed expertise in the domains of crystals and magnetism, and it was in the field of magnetism that he patented a magnetic coating technique for IBM.

In short, seeing that metallurgy was not Vogel's speciality, he may well have been mistaken and/or fooled! And in any case, even in the film "Contact" he is shown drawing a reserved conclusion from the crystal-like structure of the sample, saying that he'd be "inclined" (i.e. NOT 100% certain!) to think it was of ET origin. So in all fairness, he may just have been somewhat too carried away by the context within which he was asked to look at the metal samples.

Most of Vogel's reporting on the metal sample (such as shown in the film "Contact") concerns what he believed to be abnormal structures in the metal, which he attributed to possibly advanced "machinery". These findings were based on studying the metal samples with an electronic microscope.

That Vogel would focus on these findings is rather typical for him, seeing his interest in crystals. However, even though he asked for a second opinion of a metallurgist, it can't be excluded that the abnormal structure he noticed was actually caused by a certain kind of reaction caused by combining certain metals and/or heating them a certain way, as this can produce all sorts of seemingly odd structures.

From a contextual viewpoint, it doesn't make much sense that the metal that Vogel found to contain "abnormal" structures would have been worked with "machinery", seeing that it was just a nugget of raw, rough, unworked and unpolished metal. So Vogel's suppositions about this aspect would surely need further research before they could be accepted as fact.

The second basis for claiming that one of the metal samples might come from somewhere else than our own little blue planet, is the fact that Vogel thought to have found it contained traces of Thulium, a rare metal on our Planet that has only been discovered in the 1940s. Still, we immediately have to stress the point that Thulium is still found on this planet indeed, so even this finding does NOT allow the conclusion that the metal must have come from another planet!

We could stop our analysis here: the arguments in support of the claim that one of Meier's metal samples could not have originated on our planet are not conclusive enough to confirm this claim at all!

But let's not stop yet, and note some other things worth of being mentioned, such as the fact that in the documentary film "Contact", it is shown how the sample is inspected by a qualified metallurgist using electronic spectrometry equipment, upon which it is found that one of the samples contains nothing but silver and some copper (see at about 29:45 minutes into the film, or at 02:06 of part 4 of the YouTube version). Nothing could be more common!

On page 214 of the 2001 book "And Yet…They Fly!", we can even read the following:

A metallurgist from the University of Arizona examined one of the metal fragments and analyzed it as a simple 'cooking pot metal' or cheap cast metal alloy used to produce such things as tin soldiers.

Now THAT sounds typically like something out of Billy Meier's cook-book of hoax recipes! Just throw some scraps of metal together in a pot, heat it up, and see where it'll get you!

However, in the documentary "Contact", after showing the qualified inspection of the metal sample which gave no remarkable result whatsoever, the voice-over immediately comments that "later" analysis revealed small amounts of Thulium, a rare metal on earth. Of course, this is not actually demonstrated, it's just stated and to be taken as such. Then the scientist Marcel Vogel is shown presenting his findings, but this is only on the odd crystal-type structures that he observed using his electron microscope.

There is some video footage where we can see Vogel talking about finding Thulium, but it's not in the film "Contact" as is falsely indicated in the video "The Silent Revolution of Truth", where it is shown around 1:05:08. Part of that footage can also be found in an unidentified video (a compilation?) that is available on YouTube here (which is part 3 of a series of videos that starts here, which includes "live" reporting from Vogel's lab), at 08:43.

In the video "The Silent Revolution of Truth", Vogel is showing 2 spectrograph prints, the first of which appears to show the presence of Thullium (the other video only shows this particular print). The second print shows in particular the presence of silver and copper. That 2nd print seems very much to be of the same sample that is analyzed by the qualified metallurgist in the film "Contact", but which at that occasion did NOT appear to have Thullium.

So we have at least 2 contradicting analysis here, where the analysis of the qualified metallurgist shown in "Contact" did not show anything uncommon about the metal sample.

Given these discrepancies and many other indications of fraud as has been demonstrated for so much of the other "evidence" given by Meier, it seems that the only way to be absolutely sure about the presence of Thulium (which would still NOT prove that the metal is out of this world) would be to re-investigate the sample. Right?

Well bad luck with that, amigos, 'cause ALL the samples allegedly "disappeared" from Vogel's lab. How sad! But how convenient for Meier and his pals...

Billy Meier stated that all the metal samples provided to him by his extra-terrestrial contacts had been lost or stolen. However, miraculously, in 2004, Michael Horn publicly stated that Meier still had some metal samples and that he would ask him for one of them to submit for re-investigation.

So how come nobody has since been able to do just that, to confirm Meier's claims (at least to some extent) which surely Meier's supporters are eagerly awaiting? Well, because here we have a classic example of the "now you see it, now you don't" trick! This is one piece of evidence that works best when kept OUT OF SIGHT...

As anyone can conclude from this account that is full of shady and fluky places, the bottom line is that whatever metal sample was given to Vogel and the genuine metallurgist seen in "Contact", it was surely nothing more than an astute concoction made by Meier himself. Heck, maybe he was even able to get a piece of Thullium to spice it all up a bit. Big deal.

If the authenticity of the Meier case should depend on this piece of "evidence" solely, then let him produce it without further delay to submit it to a thorough re-evaluation, instead of declining many demands from serious researchers to do so (although even confirming the presence of Thullium wouldn't prove anything about it not having originated on this earth). Until then we'll stick to our conclusion that it's nothing more than yet another con!

The accounts of ET contact - Fairy-tales for grown-ups.

One of the other notable aspects of the Meier hoax, is the sheer volume of all sorts of writings that Billy produced. Amongst these are hundreds of accounts of "contact", i.e. of Meier meeting with one or more Pleiadian ETs or having telepathic contact with them.

It's surely fair to suggest that Meier was largely inspired by earlier UFO "contactees", such as Adamski.

But undeniably, Meier still showed a good deal of creativity when creating his own world of ET-supermen and women. He certainly succeeded in mesmerizing a substantial audience with it, consisting of fans who are seduced by the tales of "superior" philosophies and technologies that are "not of this earth".

It's not hard to understand how it's possible that so many people can be seduced by the kind of accounts Meier made up, when seeing the pityful state of our present world from which many would like to be able to escape in a heartbeat.

Meier devised his own "pantheon", giving his ET-gods names that are largely inspired from the Egyptian and other pantheons that originated on our own little planet. Thus we find super-heroes with names like "Ptaah" (inspired from the Egyptian mythological "Ptah" or "Peteh"), Quetzal (inspired from "Quetzalcoatl", the feathered serpent deity of ancient Meso-America), "Asket" (either inspired from "asket pet", the term for Ra's ladder, or a transliteration of "ascetic"), "Nera" (found in several languages), etc...

He also invented a sexy hot-looking blonde (see artistic rendition below), whom he named "Semjase", sometimes also written as "Semyase". This name is probably inspired on the Indian-Hindu term "Sannyase", which is the term for the topmost and final stage of living in the ashram systems. A "Sannyasin" is the term for monks who dedicate their entire life towards spiritual pursuits within this ashram system, renouncing to all worldly thoughts and desires. Since Meier lived in an Indian ashram for quite a while, this is probably where he got the idea from, although it's quite humorous he should give this particular name to a sexy hot-looking blonde ET!

Hot blonde Semjase

Alternatively, some have suggested that the name "Semjase" was inspired on the confederate "el Samyaza" the heaven-seizer, as described in the Second Temple Book of Enoch, purportedly the one who originated and orchestrated the plan for the invasion of earth (see here for more).

Maybe Meier would have been more credible if he'd pick names for his super-heroes that would have no similarity whatsoever with names and terms already found on earth.

As it is, we are asked to believe Meier actually interacted with the improbable cast of characters he concocted, while not having one single reliable proof of such having occurred ever. And even though he has produced so many films and pictures of Pleiadian space-crafts and even pictures of the Pleiadians themselves (which were shown to be dancers of a TV show, see above), there is not a single film or picture where he can be seen himself together with one of his super-heroes.

It's claimed that there are some witnesses who claim to have seen Meier with "large individuals", or otherwise uncommon looks, who "must" have been Pleiadian ETs. But these can't be taken serious in any way, given the context and sheer scale of deception.

There is no point in investigating Meier's accounts of his contacts with ETs any further, just as there's no point in discussing a SF novel as if it were describing real events.

Many fans claim that the sheer wisdom and genius they find in Meier's writings and "teachings", are enough proof of the extraordinary way they came about. However, if anything, it mostly proves that many people have different ideas about what true wisdom and genius are. Nevertheless, Eduard "Billy" Meier was surely not born to be dumb, and there's nothing strange about the fact that some common sense and general knowledge should be echoed in his writings. That still doesn't make them "out of this world", by any standard...

The "prophecies" - How the blind impress the blind.

As yet more "evidence" of having contacts with ETs from the Pleiades, Meier endeavored to publicize all sorts of "prophecies" about events to come on this planet. These would be "predictions" he received from his ET super-hero friends. They offer a welcome source for people like Michael Horn, to regularly do press-releases in which some prophecy or another is alleged to have come out.

Fortunately, there has already been someone who has done some very good research into this side of the Meier hoax, you can read all bout his findings here.

To sum things up briefly: Meier has written many "predictions" for which he inspired himself on popular scientific publications. The kind of stuff that reads like "astrophysicists believe that such or such is the case, and that it will be proven in the next 20 years or so". On a few dozens of such publications, surely one or more will eventually come true!

The other technique consists of doing a prediction that is either vague enough so that at some occasion it can be claimed to have come out, or to do a prediction that will surely NEVER be proven false within Meier's lifetime.

An example of this was the press-release called "How Did Meier Beat NASA by 32 Years?", in which certain findings by NASA concerning the soil of Mars possibly holding elements that would be "detrimental to life", are twisted around to make it look as if they confirm one of Meier's predictions.

Without going into the details of that particular release, I'll limit myself to an analogy of the trick that is used here, by making a "prediction" that will surely be proven true, sooner or later: it will be found that the soils of Venus and Pluto too, contain chemicals that are "detrimental" to life!

It's not hard to see that it's always possible to claim that a soil contains chemicals that are "detrimental" to life. Even the Earth's soil contains many elements that could be detrimental to life! And if by chance, a soil sample is taken from Venus and Pluto that would miraculously NOT have anything dangerous to human life, I can always claim that researchers have not yet looked hard enough! This way the prediction can always be made to look "genuine".
In their report, NASA only claimed that the soil on Mars MAY contain a "potentially" toxic substance. I.e., neither are they 100% sure about their findings, neither need the substance be toxic in all cases or even "detrimental" to life. On the other hand, Meier's prediction stated that human life on Mars was "impossible", while "non-human" life might still exist there. Obviously, NASA's report doesn't allow any such conclusions.

Another technique used for the predictions concerns those about historical events related to political developments. One example of this is "predicting" that there will be a war between Western countries and Iran. Upon verification it can be found that Meier only started to publicize about this after many speculations were already circulating.

In many cases the researcher mentioned above found that Meier and his collaborators are messing around with the dates Meier allegedly published certain writings. This is certainly the case for predictions in the political and historical domain.

If there is one instance where it's relatively easy to demonstrate that Meier's "predictions" are fake, then it must surely be his "predictions" about the events of 9-11. Not only has there clearly been a lot of messing around with dates of publicizing these and with what the actual texts may have been compared to the outcome (some seem to have found that texts such as the so called 215th contact didn't even exist prior to 2002), the final explanation is clearly totally false, as according to Meier 9-11 was strictly an act of terrorism planned and carried out by Muslim fanatics. Seeing how much we now know about the real backgrounds of 9-11, and even if there remain areas of uncertainty, it's now totally clear that the USA government was fully involved in both the carrying out of the attacks as well as planning them (if you're not much informed on this subject, you may read up on it here). So Meier's explanation and therefore his "prediction" as well of the events of 9-11, are clearly totally bogus. And in this case it's even much worse, seeing how much it leads his audience away of a reliable understanding of these dramatic events.

Especially in the domain of science and understanding historical events, it's easy to deceive those who ignore the real facts. In that case, the blind can easily be led on by the blind, without ever being aware of it.

The "Talmud of Jmmanuel" - Cashing in on a bestseller.

The "Talmud of Jmmanuel" is maybe one of Meier's most audacious hoaxes ever. It is meant to be no less than a full replacement of the traditional Bible's New Testament.

Knowing that the traditional Bible is the world's best selling book of all times, one can only wonder what piles of cash Meier envisioned making of it!

Not only are there more than enough indications that the "Talmud of Jmmanuel" is a total fake, as an additional problem for Meier there is also more than enough evidence that there never existed a historical figure known by the name of Jesus Christ (whom Meier renamed into "Jmmanuel"). Using a fake story to create a new fake Bible is surely not going to result in anything reliable... (for some starting points to unravel the Jesus myth, see here).

Of course, there are still a billion or so people who believe in the myth of Jesus Christ. Meier's hoaxed Bible might seduce some of those believers. But those who have researched the historical backgrounds of the creation of the New Testament know for a fact that it's impossible to relate the stories attributed to the single fictional character of Jesus Christ, to a single historical person, aside of the religious metaphysical nonsensical aspects of the myth (which will remain a matter of "belief").

Merely the fact that Meier chose to call his re-creation of the New Testament a "Talmud", shows that it can't be anything else but fake. This is because the Hebrew word "Talmud" means "study" or "learning", which is why we have something like the Babylonian Talmud which is a collection of study teachings based upon the Hebrew Bible and oral commentaries of Jewish learning. It is NOT a Bible (here understood as being a collection of religious stories) in itself.

On the other hand, Meier's "Talmud of Jmmanuel" is essentially a re-working of the gospels of the New Testament, not a study (although it does contain some "teachings"), but an account (for the most part).

If this is not enough to understand that this is yet nothing but a laborious hoax, then there is the fact that ALL of the original documents the Talmud is said to be a translation of, were "stolen"! Oh how sad for the world... and how fortunous for Meier.

And if that were not suspicious enough, then what to think of the fact that even though Meier built his reputation on making the most sensational photographs of ET "crafts" and even "ray-guns", he NEVER ever even thought about making a single photograph of the holy scroll he so miraculously acquired?

Need we go on?

Surely, the book "Talmud of Jmmanuel" offers a lot of text (one of its electronic editions includes all sorts of extra texts by Billy Meier and Jim Deardorff, adding up to more than 900 pages!), and it gives a lot of food for endless discussions about its contents. But we surely don't need to look any further into it, given the facts already mentioned. For those who are nevertheless interested in a diligent review of the texts themselves and other aspects of the Talmud, we recommend this analysis.

The witnesses - Of tricks and sects.

It's claimed that there are some "200+ witnesses" who gave testimonies that confirm Meier's claims. Supporters love to point out that one of them is even an ex "UN diplomat", no less.

Considering all the incredible fakery and hussling we have been able to point out, it would come as a surprise if there was anything reliable to be found about these "witnesses". Indeed, here too, we see deception after deception, combined with all sorts of manipulations, either of the witnesses or of the way things are presented.

Globally, the witnesses fall into one of three categories.

The first category is that of witnesses who might have seen some genuine UFO activity, but which was clearly totally unrelated to Meier's claims. Examples of this kind of testimony occur in the film "Contact", where there are some witnesses who describe having seen UFOs of the "ball of fire" type in the area where Meier's farm is located.

Not only are these UFOs totally different than the crafts seen on Meier's pictures and films (although he could of course always claim they'd become like balls of fire when not being filmed), the sightings do not associate Meier personally in any way with the UFOs witnessed. UFOs are sighted ALL over the world, especially in non-urban areas such as the region where Meier lives. There's NOTHING exceptional about it (although the phenomenon certainly remains extraordinary).

Sightings of UFOs by the Swiss military also fall in this category. In the reports about these sightings no direct link with Meier is made whatsoever. The fact that Billy Meier lives in a region where UFOs are occasionally sighted, is in itself not reason enough to presume he is in any way linked to these sightings.

The second category of witnesses are those who are or have been part of Meier's entourage.

Amongst these, probably the most interesting and significant testimony is the one which is most anxiously left unmentioned by Meier's supporters, unless it's brought up by debunkers, namely the testimony by Meier's ex-wife "Popi" Kaliope.

She has most emphatically stated that all of Meier's claims are completely bogus, that his story of having contact with ETs from the Pleiades was made up, and that all his films and pictures were fake! She appeared in a TV-program called "The World's Greatest Hoaxes", for itv4, which gave her an opportunity to let her accusations go on the record (on YouTube, find part 1 here, the segment on Meier starts in part 2 here at 08:51, with Kalliope appearing in part 3 here). She even got to show on camera that she identified the central part of one of Meier's best known fake ET crafts, namely the Weddingcake craft. It was built using a garbage can lid of the type she knew so well and had so often used! Had she not pointed this out, this flagrant evidence of deception might still not have been noticed. Here's a frame-capture of that TV-program, showing Kaliope holding a garbage can lid of the type used by Meier for his fake WC craft.

Kalliope holding garbage can lid

Of course, the Meier supporters immediately opposed that Kaliope was merely guilty of the dishonest revenge of a scorned woman, but clearly that argument is not only highly disrespectful of the personal drama that happened to her, it also completely fails to explain how she'd be successful at identifying the garbage can lid if her accusations were untrue.

In fact, Meier's decision to milk his contactee scam to the max was the main reason for their marriage to fall apart. Documentation of the extreme tension in their marriage can certainly be found in the film "Contact", where we can observe Kaliope's body-language and evasive behavior that occur in a way that is typical for someone who is greatly embarrassed and even ashamed of the deception such as was going on at the Meier farm.

One can only imagine what kind of dramatic pressure was put on Kalliope so that in 1991 she would sign, together with 19 others, a rather vague "affidavit", meant to establish that all those who signed it never saw Meier "ever being involved in any unfair intrigues or manipulations" (full text presently found here). This affidavit is often referred to as evidence of Meier's claims being genuine, but it only proves that most people around Meier were not aware of any deception, while others such as Kalliope were (still) cooperating to cover things up, signing it while knowing full well the statements in the affidavit were bogus.

But once she was freed from the pressure put on her, Kalliope was able to set the record straight on camera. Her most unequivocal statements are of course totally devastating to Meier's credibility, and totally conclusive.

Especially when seen in the light of Kalliope's denunciation, the testimonies given by others from Meier's entourage are either highly dubious, or outright suspicious, not credible, obviously false or even fake.

We'd classify as "dubious" all testimonies where witnesses report "odd" occurrences where they believe having seen Meier meet with a Pleiadian, but without there being any real direct evidence of this being so.

For example, Meier would go out while it was raining heavily, and return "completely dry", which would be enough reason for one witness to believe he met with the Pleiadians and stayed dry in their "Beamship". Another witness believed to have heard the voice of a Pleiadian speaking to Meier. Yet another witness saw Meier talk to a "very large person", which must have been a Pleidian due to the person's height. Etc, etc...

We could endeavor to detail each and every of these testimonies, providing plausible explanations for what may really have happened in each and every case, but this is futile given the obviously dubious nature of all such testimonies. Instead, we'll just alert the reader to this and let him be his own judge.

Guido Moosbrugger is allegedly a rare "witness" who was even able to photograph Meier in the presence of a "fiery red big disk" with "glittering drizzle that rained down from that disk".

Moosbrugger 'disc'

But when taking a good look at this picture, it's not hard to distinguish a person standing amidst the "glittering drizzle" (Meier?). This, together with the shape of the "drizzle" strongly suggests the "disk" was nothing more than a photographic illusion caused by the person seen in the middle circling around himself something burning, leaving red traces due to the slow camera shutter. In other words, it's yet another fake picture! A remake of this picture was created by Derek Bartholomaus.

Although Michael Horn claims the picture was made with Meier's photo camera and that it had no shutter delay (which one needs to get the effect of prolonged exposure), if Guido Moosbrugger made this picture (as it's claimed), then it seems only logical that another camera was used. In any case, the shape of the red circles leaves no doubt that they are the result of a glowing light source circling the person in its middle, and not that of a solid "fiery red big disk" (which additionally it would be quite impossible to stick ones head through, as the person standing in the middle seems to be doing).

The flagrant fakery of this picture means that Guido Moosbrugger is clearly complicit in the deception. Therefore, all his claims and testimonies can not be believed, and there's no point in analyzing his other claims and stories.

Of course, it's hard to have to recognize that so many people are involved in lying to keep the scam alive, but this collective lying is precisely a unique aspect of the Meier case.

In many cases this deliberate collective deception is done by those who have some kind of interest in the Meier scam (it be because they are authors, film-makers, disinformers, etc...), but there are probably a number of cases where false statements have been given as a result of group pressure, as is typical for sects.

Also, it can't be excluded that in a number of cases, testimonies are made-up and falsely attributed to certain individuals. It wouldn't be the first time where people are falsely claimed to have made certain statements in support of the Meier case, as is shown in this report.

It has also been suggested that in some cases, Meier used tricks to fool people into believing he was meeting with his ET super-heroes from the Pleiades. He might surely have used fireworks to shoot off flares into the air, which were then thought to be the Pleiadian beamships. This would very much be in accordance with the kind of thing Meier would do. Note that a number of witnesses describe seeing Meier in proximity of such "lights", but beside an occasional dubious exception such as the "glowing coffin" which has been proven fake, there's not a single picture made by Meier in Switzerland that shows a Pleiadian "Beamship" looking like a ball of light, which is otherwise quite common for UFOs (on the other hand when Meier was in India, he did make a few fake UFO pictures with lights that are impossible to authenticate).

Sometimes it can be particularly hard to evaluate a testimony. This is particularly the case with a person called Phobol Cheng, a former UN diplomat representing Cambodia, whom Meier's supporters like to present as somewhat of a "crown witness".

Phobol Cheng

Phobol Cheng lived a few years in the ashram where Meier spent some time when he was in India. Allegedly, she saw UFOs that she later claimed to be Pleaidian crafts, and believes to have encountered "Asket" repeatedly.

At the time of these experiences she was at the "ripe" age of... 8 to 9 years old!! Of course, immediately the question arises how reliable memories can be of things one has experienced being at such a young age. Unless they are of occasional, very important events, either extremely happy or traumatic, concerning details that are easy to remember, it would seem such memories are generally pretty unreliable. Seeing how she states to have forgotten all about her experiences for several decades, it must not really have made such a great impact on her emotionally, making the chance of her memories being very accurate rather slim, indeed.

Phobol Cheng made an appearance at a UFO congress in 1999, where she was given all the time she wanted to tell her story. Her talk was recorded and released in a video called "Reopening the Meier Case", in which she can be seen in part 2,starting at 01:35:00, and part 3, starting at the beginning.

It looks as if Meier got lucky with Phobol Cheng's involvement, as she and others at her ashram may actually have witnessed UFOs several times, which was confirmed by at least one extra witness who also appears in the aforementioned video. But it is rather obvious that she has wrongly associated these sightings with Billy Meier. Overall, her story is totally inconclusive as to Meier's alleged connection with the UFOs she may have seen, while it's quite obvious that she never met with Meier's Pleiadian "Asket", the gorgeous blond woman Meier claimed to have photographed, but who turned out to be a dancer on the Dean Martin show.

Phobol Cheng claims she had her first encounter with "Asket" when she was only 8 years old, and that she remembers "exactly" how she looked. Now before going on with her story, just as a test, try to see if you can think back of a person you met when you were only 8 years old, any person who isn't a member of your family, and see if you're still capable of describing how that person looks. Most people will probably find it an impossible task, unless they're an exceptional autistic "savant" or such...

Yet Phobol Cheng claims she remembers exactly how (when being only 8 years old) "a person" walked into her room in the ashram, and then lullabied her to sleep. She claims that later, she saw this person accompanying Meier. In her talk she makes it clear that at that time, she didn't know that the woman she saw with Meier was "Asket". It's only when she was in her forties and met again with Meier, that he told her that in fact, the woman she saw with Meier in the ashram was "Asket". Seeing how Phobol Cheng's description of the person she saw doesn't match at all with Meier's stories and fake evidence, she clearly had to be made to believe that she saw "Asket", it was not something she already knew, and at the time of her experience she was not aware that the person lullabying her to sleep was actually an ET super-hero from the Pleiades.
Phobol Cheng mentions that "Asket" had "nice long dark hair" (see at 1:53:45 of the video), and that she was neither Caucasian nor Asian, but a "blend" of the two. However, if we look at the alleged picture of "Asket", the one that is claimed to be the authentic one, we see that Asket is a gorgeous typically Caucasian blonde! Additionally, the pictures claimed by Meier to be "forged", are still said to be of "doubles", which implies that the real "Asket" is supposed to be blond.
Also, Meier never stated that this "Asket" was anything but blond, as far as we know. But when this discrepancy between Phobol Cheng's memories and Meier's claims came to light, Meier quickly claimed that the blondness of the woman seen in the picture was caused by "the lighting"! Sure Billy... Of course, all this is completely bogus, as we know that Michelle DellaFave has confirmed that the person Meier calls "Asket" is no one else but herself!

Clearly, Phobol Cheng describes a person who was very different than Meier's "Asket", and the whole story is most dubious as evidence of Meier having had contact with ETs from the Pleiades. (Interestingly, notice how Phobol Cheng during her talk at the UFO congress is still trying to match and accommodate her description with that of Meier's fake "Asket" of the pictures, by pointing out that the woman in her room had the same great "earlobes", while in fact this is a myth that originates from a total misperception of Meier's picture, where Michelle's long blond hair is hanging in a peculiar way below hear ears, making it look as if she has big earlobes! See the pictures posted earlier or here)

Most probably, all that happened was that an unknown woman slipped into Phobol Cheng's bedroom, gently caressing her for the sweet young child she was, lullabying her to sleep. She may have done this several times over a period of time. In an open ashram where "many people came and went" (as she points out), privacy may not have been so strict, and there's nothing particularly strange about a woman lullabying a child to sleep, even if she wasn't an acquaintance.
Phobol Cheng may then have seen this particular woman in Meier's company, or it may have been a totally different woman. One can not be absolutely sure about it, and neither can Phobol Cheng be, given the extremely young age that she's recalling her memories from.

In any case, besides the unrelated UFO sighting, her story tells of nothing particularly ET, excepted for the story of how at one time she saw Meier with a woman in "some type of space suit" (not mentioned in her video talk), which may well have been nothing more than the tin-foil prank that Meier used for some of his pictures later on.

It looks pretty much like Phobol Cheng is a sincere person who has simply been taken advantage of. The reason why she got involved with the Meier scam is probably that she may have been given over to sentimentalism because of finding and meeting someone who lived in the same ashram as she did, and who is a western person who acquired some fame because of his UFO hoax, and that she's incapable of shifting the wheat from the shaft of what happened to her exactly when she was 8 to 9 years old.

It looks like she did indeed have several UFO sightings, together with a number of other people of her ashram. But there's simply no real basis to link these sightings to Meier's presence in the ashram, and at no time was Meier ever seen by her with or near one of the crafts.

There's a quote circulating online taken from a publication by Michael Hesemann in Magazin 2000plus, which mixes statements by Phobol Cheng with commentaries by Hesemann himself: ""In those days all of us at the Mission saw the spaceships” and Meier was in contact with their pilots. Additionally, she had seen him “walking across the court yard of the Ashram accompanied by a woman with long, brunette hair, dressed in a type of spacesuit.""

The wording used in this quote could be misleading to some people. Only the parts in bold font are directly quoted (it seems) from Phobol Cheng. But the way Hesemann inserts a reference to Meier might give the impression that Phobol Cheng claims that many people saw "the spaceships" with Meier being present and clearly in "contact" with the pilots. But nothing is less true, as is abundantly clear from Phobol Cheng's talk at the UFO congress. She never mentions that she or anyone else saw UFOs while Meier was also present, or that he demonstrated in any way being in contact with their pilots.

Nevertheless, Phobol Cheng's story as well as those of some of the other witnesses may still be confusing enough to leave some people with some doubts about there still possibly being something 'genuine' about the Meier case after all. But let's imagine for a moment that regardless of all the flagrant inconsistencies and signs of deception, these testimonies (or at least some of them) are indeed to be taken as real proof for Meier having contact with a gang of ET super-heroes from the Pleiades. Would it then make sense that ALL of the other "evidence" is so flagrantly fake, and that Meier so often had to make up all sort of obvious lies and bogus excuses in response to the debunking? Is it possible that on one hand we have everything pointing to deception and lies, but still the testimonies (or some of it) would be reliable?

Of course not. And any objective person will quickly have to conclude so after considering what has been mentioned here and carefully (re-)evaluating the various testimonies, while appreciating the fact that we have only mentioned a brief selection of elements here that completely discredit the witness accounts alleged to support the Meier scam.

Related cases - Milking the Pleiadian cow.

One of the most disturbing aspects of the Meier scam is how many other individuals besides Meier himself have deliberately participated in the deception.

Unfortunately, it has spread around like somewhat of a viral disease, seeing that a number of others have tried to tap into the Pleiaidian myth blockbuster.

The simple fact is that before the Billy Meier hoax, there had been NO reports whatsoever of Pleiadian ETs. There were certainly reports of all sorts of other ETs, but none of these were about Pleiadians. Therefore, one must conclude that ALL the people who claim to have had contact with Pleiadians are simply trying to get a piece of Meier's scam, and are obviously crooks and/or fakes, for various reasons. This includes but is not limited to people such as Barbara Marciniak (get a taste of how trustworthy her "channelings" probably are from this video, which shows many textbook examples of body-language and facial expressions of deception), Barbara Hand Clow, Steward Swerdlow (who copied much of his cosmology from Meier), and a certain "Adrian" (who produced a series of fake picts of UFOs very similar to Meier's, some of which are found in our old photo-album).

Therefore, we recommend that when you hear or read someone mentioning Pleiadian ETs, then consider it most definitely a red flag, and beware of deception!

A special mention concerns George Green, who's behind the website at nohoax.com (previously nomorehoaxes.com). Although he is not trying to pretend he is a Pleiadian contactee, he has been involved in the Meier scam from the very beginning that it got worldwide attention, as he was behind the financing of the film "Contact", which was so obviously meant to deceive the public into believing the Meier scam was genuine. Since then, George Green has been active as a kind of "dissident banker" who's changed sides, now fighting and denouncing the NWO. You can see him at work in a video of a lecture he gave, called "The Big Picture".

Typically, George Green reproduces during his lecture the false claim that Meier would be the only genuine ET contactee on this world, which is of course completely bogus. To be brief: while it might well be that George Green has simply been genuinely fooled by the Meier's deception, it's also very possible that George Green has been involved with the Meier scam to deliberately spread disinfo on the subject of UFOs. And for disinfo to work, it's necessary to mix it with other information that is NOT false, which explains Green's angle on "exposing" certain aspects of the NWO not directly related to UFOs. Until George Green comes clear on this matter, his message should be taken with much reserve and precaution.

To round off this brief paragraph on cases related to the Meier scam, I'd suggest to be extremely wary of anyone who suggests that the Meier case is genuine, as this would only concern people who have not researched the case as thoroughly as they should have (given the fact that they would publish or talk about it publicly), or people who are carrying out a hidden agenda of spreading disinformation.

In conclusion - How to save time and live a long, happy, and interesting life.

The main reason why I took the time and spent the effort to write this laborious overview and even set-up an entire section about the Meier hoax/scam on this website, is to help as much people as possible save time on it, so that they can move forward and spend their time and energy on genuine UFO and ET contact cases. The UFO research field has been polluted more than enough by this hoax/scam, and genuine contactees have surely suffered from the ridicule that the Meier case has attracted to the subject.

The reality of UFOs and contact with their occupants, in many cases is often much less pleasant and/or much more bizarre and unusual than what Meier fantasized about. The popularization of the Meier stories makes it all the more difficult for genuine ET contactees and abductees to find a receptive public even amongst those interested in UFOs, because their story is often much less attractive. And let's not forget that Meier adds to their problems by claiming they're all liars, as he's meant to be the only genuine ET contactee on earth!

In any case, it's becoming more and more clear that time is catching up with Meier and his supporters, as Meier's films, pictures and other "evidence" are looking more and more outdated and straight from a cheap B-movie, when comparing it to many excellent videos, pictures and other documentation that have become more and more abundantly available online (you may want to check more of our site for some of that).

Regardless of this obvious fact, I'm confident that even after reading through this overview, there will remain a number of individuals who will still believe that the Meier case is genuine, and that Meier is telling the truth, at least to 'some' degree. It's not my ambition to correct fools. As some people say: God must surely love fools very much, seeing he created so many of them! So they have my blessings. And after all, ignorance can be bliss, even though it surely comes at no uncertain risk!

May those who have ears to hear, eyes to see, and a well-working brain to process, be helped by this article!
